I have been running in brooks beast for past 4 years but have transitioned to Saucony progrid ride 3 and love them. I have always loved Mizuno Wave Riders. Unfortunately, the newest model sucks. I went to Nike Pegasus. They're ok....not great, though. I'm impatiently waiting for Mizuno to pull it's head out and go back the model that felt good. |

I have been running in brooks beast for past 4 years but have transitioned to Saucony progrid ride 3 and love them. I run in K-Swiss shoes: Keahou II - cushioned shoe for longer mileage Blade Light Run - primarily my racing shoe and very comfy sockless. California - I just ordered these for winter running and excited to try them out. They have a ion mask that keeps the water out. My feet were always drenched running in the snow/slush so hopefully these do the trick. I was in New Balance prior and the toe box was too small for my liking. |

Elite 3489 Lakewood, CO | Subject: RE: Novemburr Run Challenge KansasMom - 2011-11-20 7:20 AM 10 miles yesterday for a Turkey Trot. Finished ahead of my goal time, so I'm pleased about that. Not pleased with how many (hundreds) people finished before I did. Oh, well. I'm still waiting for the results to be posted officially so I can complete my race report. No pictures. Too bad because I looked cute (so my family and a few others on the route said) in my Inuit dress.
Way to finish ahead of goal time. Too bad about the lack of Pic's.... |

Marcia went from the beach to the frost burn, and the Ryans both posted highest ever run weeks. That's right other time zone people, just try to beat all the personal success stories we've got over here. rymac - 2011-11-21 12:47 PM Happy to get 42 miles ran last week. That is my highest running volume ever and my body seems to be handling it great. The one thing about all this running is I get to buy new shoes ALOT! Hopefully I can string together another high mileage week and try not to let turkey and booze get me off course . Woo hoo! Go Eastern! Congrats on the high volume week! I did a short run on my lunch in my attempt to catch up. Crazy to think mere days ago I was wearing a bikini on a beach in Bahamas and today there were tiny snowflakes hitting my face on my lunch hour run!!?? It's like it was a dream. Great job y'all !! No success stories here - my runs have been uneventfully labored since I gave blood. Oh well, I know for me it takes about a week to get back to normal. Thursday's turkey trot will be interesting - right about that week window. |

Master 1623 | Subject: RE: Novemburr Run Challenge Well I have been struggling this month... Barely worked out at all... Sorry team!! Having trouble finding my motivation still. However, my fiance has challenged me and we're extremely competitive so I'm thinking this may be the motivation I need. I mean beyond bragging rights, there's even prizes... ok so it's only a $20 gift of the winner's choosing but still motivation haha. The goal is 7 lbs... he wants to gain it (muscle weight) and I want to lose it. Who ever comes closest wins... should be fun. But with that being said, I will be running more from now on. |

Sounds like an awesome challenge! I think you should make smack talk a priority ha ha. My hubby isn't very active any more though was in his day. We were chatting in the car and he said he could beat me hands down in a running race. I agreed that a shorter distance he could (he used to sprint) but he hasn't run in years and so if it were say a mile - no chance. My daughter got in on it and challenged us both to a show down. It was supposed to happen on our cruise but hubby was feeling motion sickness - it hasn't been discussed since |

Elite 3913 far northern CA | Subject: RE: Novemburr Run Challenge I have an update on my broken tri bike frame. The replacement frame is at my LBS and they are re-assembling it! It's beautiful!!!! I'm so excited to get set up on it and start dialing the fit in. It "should" have the same settings as the broken frame since the geometry is identical. Hopefully that will be the case. This sad story is ending on a happy note. Maybe next week I'll have a picture for all of you! |
