Hazmaster and the Cervelo! Good choice! I just bought a bike last night on Ebay, when it arrives, I'll advertise too I would dearly love to put a lot of miles on it before the snow flies on the other coast!

Another 5.6 km in the bag last night. Probably going to do double what I pledged at this pace

The Living Dead are very much ALIVE!!!

Hi Team.  I also wanted to ask if my husband could join the team.  He is already out here on BT.  He sees the inspiration and support this team gives to me.  Even today, I said "I have to go run so I keep my end of the challenge!".  He has started to really get into running and is hoping to receive some inspiration here.  If it is too late to join, can he at least come to this thread of this team for support?  If he can join, I will let you know his mileage pledge for the month.  Thanks for the consideration!

btw, I just put up another 3 miles today!  Go Living Dead!

Just replied to sailing in the team leaders thread but I think thats great he see's how motivating challenges are!

Get him to let the team know what he has done so far in Oct (so that can be considered) and the overall goal for the month and just go for it!!!! i cant think why anyone would object

I am going to ride til in snows too.  It is a BIG concern of mine here in Vegas.

Last years project was building a garage.  Still have to insulate and sheetrock,  but my workout room is installed and functional.

Thanks guys.  The garage was the hard part overall because I am an old guy an lifting the walls and the rafters was a B word.  Its big enough for 3 cars and my excersize area,  but my son-in-law did help once in a while.  In my advancing age I may well have to start hiring contractors at some point (I will hate that).  The biggest hold up on the cabinets other then stripping and sanding is COLOR!!  They are light oak and my wife wants a darker brown with a hint of red  aaarrggghhh, but still with the oak grain showing.

Thanks Team!  You all rock!!!  I will have him come out here today, post what he has done for October and what his goal is for the month.  Believe me, I will make SURE he hits that goal.  LOL

Hazmaster-sweet ride man!  Make sure your feet still hit the pavement though or else I will be out there to harrass ya!  LOL

Sailing - nice pics!  Looks like alot of hard work went into that.

Hey Team LD,

Just wanted to let you know that I need to withdraw from the challenge. I did PM our captain and kaqphin...but wanted to let everyone know. I need to take a break from BT for a bit, just need some time away cause I've got some other things to focus on. I'd hoped the challenge would help with some stuff, but I just can't participate right now. So, hope everyone is okay with that and that I don't screw things up! I know you're going to win anyway

Good luck, and have a great October.

That is really too bad sassafras, we enjoyed having your sassy frass around.  Take care of yourself, and don't be a stranger.  Please stop by and drop us a line once in a while.  By the way, keep those sneekers on for the rest of the month, I and the rest of the dead crew hope that everything works out.  Take care!

Thanks everyone for letting me in! Dia was having way too much fun, and I wanted to jump in with her!

I am Ralph, excited2tri's husband. I am 40 years old, and we have three kids who also are getting into running. They are 16, 9, and 5, and then there's our chocolate lab Lucy!

I have 7 miles logged for October, and my goal for this month is 35 miles. I think I can exceed that, but that is my mark!

Its too cold and rainy this weekend.  Make sure y'all stay out of that weather and logging miles.  And treadmills?  Blech!  Take it nice and easy.  You deserve it.  No, really, you do.

Love,

A concerned BTer not in the challenge on a team that might be competing against you.

If thats addressed to me, you might want to look at that crankiness seriously as a sign of overtraining and that you are running too much.  Take about 4-6 days off and your body will thank you.  Easy biking or swimming are fine, but running is a no no.

Love,

Someone not in the challenge who is really looking out for your best interests

Welcome 1for 1 you are loaded in the database as another young whippersnapper like that Comet guy.

Izat,  Us older gentlemen need rest, but the rest of the Living Dead is KICK BUT.  Oh heck,  I forgot I have to do a Tri this weekend.  Maybe I will rest next week (not).

Sass,  Sorry to hear, but I hope all gets straightened out and if we can help (inspires) at all let us know.

So you are taking your own medicine and resting for a few days? Isn't it too cold to run in WI? You should rest, keep inspiring us, and stay off your feet.

Thanks so much for the welcome! I will work hard to add us to the winning column. Fortunately we don't have any "IZAT's" to slow us down... LOL
