I've been watching this all evening:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9O84Ry6axY&feature=related

It's a good one   Especially the song!

Good luck to everyone!  A favorite quote from a friend of mine:

"When your legs get tired, run with your heart"

See you all in Louisville

On call tomorrow, then me and fam are heading up early Friday. Probably just in time for the 3 hour waiting line for packet-pick up.
Hoping for healthy patients tomorrow so I can get a little sleep. "fingers-crossed"
Mostly packed. Just need to motivate my family to do the same...if you know what I mean...They're already unexcited about the early wake-up call Friday!?

Everyone travel safely--save the blazing speeds for the Lagrange loops--yeah right!

Doc out. Enjoyed the thread. Thanks everyone. See you on the other side as Ironmen!

MarathonGirl11- That link worked for me... and it was great! Thanks for sharing!

I'm leaving this evening, staying at my Grandmother-in-law's house tonight (about 3 hours away from Louisville) then finishing up the trip early Friday morning. I'm kinda glad my family won't be coming to town until Sat because I don't have to make them get up early or drag them around to the athlete checkin and all that. I hear Hillary Biscay will be at the galt house Friday from 10-11 signing autographs! I'm going to try to get one, if I'm not still doing the athlete check in stuff that is.

See you all at Starbucks!

This is funny. I'm starting to feel like the kid at camp whose parents are showing up last to take me home.

Everybody's leaving!!!

It's all good though...right behind you!

For those of you other 'kids left at camp' I hope to post another video today or tomorrow. It MIGHT be interesting, but really...no promises.

You're not alone Sam. I'm still at home (Columbus, Ohio) and won't be leaving until tomorrow around 9 a.m. after dropping the kids off at school. Then I'll make the 3.5 hour journey to the ville.

I have been feeling pretty crappy past several days (sinus infection and the taper slump), and yesterday's 4 mile run was downright discouraging. However, woke up this morning to clear(er) sinuses, and at 5:30 this morning I did my last swim (basically about 800yds of warm up, 400 good effort, then 400 warm down) and felt awesome! Did my fastest 400 of the year by 2 seconds at 4:24, and it felt comfortable! Then I checked Accuweather and it currently predicts a high of 80 on race day! Things are coming together nicely... now if my right leg would just loosen up and heal (feels like a strained calf AND hamstring on that stupid leg) I would be 100%.

Time to pack up and will get out the door at 3:30 to pick up the wife and head to Louisville! I might swing by the Starbucks meet-n-greet, but having family tagalongs makes things tricky. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!

Holy cow!!!  Weather dot com is now saying a high of 79 on Sunday.  I keep asking myself if that is even possible in Louisville in August.  Leaving later today for Louisville.  See y'all at Starbucks tomorrow afternoon!!
