Regular ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Good run today. 4.42 miles in 33:13 so I'm glad to get a workout in finally this week that earns a point. Life has conspired against exercise this week. Tuesday was supposed to be the first bike ride outside since August due to the weather finally starting to turn nice, but as Jennie mentioned she had some issues and I had to go retrieve her with the car. The ride ended up being 1.44 miles in 7:40 so no point there. No workout yesterday due to getting Jennie's vehicle worked on since it blew a huge crack in the radiator. Separately, I'm flying from Saturday through Wednesday to Boston to participate in the Seafood show which should be fun, but am a little worried that I won't be able to get my workouts done due to the hectic schedule.

Took a path I use on my long runs but cut back close to the house. This route gave me 2 very nice climbs. Although my pace was everywhere, it was nice to not have to walk and keep my HR where I wanted it! 35min 2.83 miles...283ft gain/loss Avg HR 152 |

Went to the track this evening and ran the session that I missed on wednesday because i was at work. Met up with a friend who had also had to miss it, but unfortunately he turned his ankle half way through the set. I managed to finish, but had a couple of unplanned rest periods while I was checking he was okay (I initally found him curled up in a ball on the grass immediately after he did it). Plan for tomorrow is a long ride and then the swim session if we get back in time for it (which we may not!). The most I've done is 3k, but am looking to get up to 4k at about the same time you are doing them (about 20 min/ 1k mts)! Regular ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Today's run was a 5K tempo run. Only 3 weeks until the A race 10k. The run felt pretty good despite struggling the third mile uphill. Final time was 21:00 for 3.14 miles. Unfortunately no point for the run but I'll take the quality over the point today. Hopefully I'll get a couple of points for the challenge tomorrow with a bike and swim. |

I'm rocking to my tunes, 6 min into my run, and I get kicked out of the gym. They close early on Friday night. So, only one workout. |

I was really pleased with that swim. It's the first time I've done over the IM distance, and I didn't get out of the water exhausted, so that's definitely progress. Have a great time in Boston. Make sure you spend loads of time in the bars celebrating St Patricks day - that way I might just have a chance of overtaking you in the challenge |
