DoloresM2 - 2007-12-16 2:42 AM I've gone back a few pages and I can't decide who is my fav. Nice work, really, really nice.

Why thank you m'deah, always happy to hobnob with the pretty boys as you know

And the sizzlin' swim hunk of the day is ...

BRETT HAWKE could be considered the fastest man in Australia, holding the 50m free record @:22.07 (smokin'!) He represented Oz in the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games.

Noz - 2007-12-16 4:19 PM notice that all the other teams reply with violence?  go reindeer!

Actually, I encouraged your team to turn against you in nonviolent protest. Now you just twitch your tail and run along, since you may as well give up on the swimming

how machiavellian of you, that's the christmas spirit

hi team,

I posted our week 2 results in the team leader's thread. For some reason the spread sheet updates didn't take so they're cut/pasted but then you have to know who's listed in what order...So I figured I would just post an update the old fashioned way for you all

SWIMMER      THIS WEEK       GOAL           TOTAL         PERCENTAGE

PAt                  1000*           40,000         19,100       47.5% (illness)

Dexter             5000             15,000         11,300      75%

Erin                 5200              20,000        10,500      50%

Isis                    1x                  4x                1x           25%

Nick                 1hr 10 min     12 hrs        5 hr 30 min   44%

Betsy            2400              20,000             9745.9     48%

Chrissie        4000             24,000             4000         16% (missed week 1 d/t illness)

Yanti             1900                6000            2900          52%

Heather         2000              20,000          4593         20%

Judi               7600              26,000           14,600      56%

If any of this is incorrect please PM me afterdouble checking  your logs.  Chrissie, do you want us to readjust your goal since you were sick week 1?  Pat, not sure if we can make that offer since you have the side challenge with Cat--I know it's capped at the 40K mark though

Hey all, I'm still alive. Sorry I'm not swimming much lately. I've been really busy at work, and outside of work, with church things, holiday parties, dates with Matt (aka tri-hottie) and trying to finish my Christmas shopping, which isn't going so well. And trying to catch up on sleep so I don't die! I promise I will finish my requisite 24,000 yards if it kills me! Swimming tonight after work.

Chrissie, I'm just glad you're feeling better, and out and about having a wonderful life!!!

I have no doubt you'll dig and reach your goal, especially after that stellar finish you pulled off in the Tour de France Challenge. In any case, the swimming will allow you to let go a bit and pig out just a teench over the holidays Cool

No kidding - the swimming is gonna get me HOT for my NYE party with Matt We're not going "together", though we will both be there and I thoroughly intend on getting a kiss (even a small one) at midnight from him, even if we have to go out of sight of others, so as not to divulge our dating status.

Bring mistletoe.

And speaking of getting HOT ... here's your Monday Man Meat Twofer, straight outta Canada:

DUSTIN HERSEE (left) was a Canadian champion backstroker (yeaaaah!) and represented Canuckland in the 2000 Olympics.

MIKE MINTENKO (right) represented Canada in both 2000 and 2004 Olympics in butterfly, and has won numerous medals at the World Championships and other international competitions.

I'm glad you appreciate them.

I popped out 2200 long course meters today. It was fun. It rained.

On similarly wet note ...

For nearly a decade, JANI SIEVINEN of Finland was virtually unbeatable in individual medley ... his world record in the 200 I.M. stood from 1994 until a young upstart named Michael Phelps broke it in 2003.

He says, Happy Holidays.

Hi puddins - I got in a little more mileage last night. Hopefully will get to the pool tonight too if I'm not too tired. My church's winter concert is tomorrow night (and I sing in the choir), so swimming tomorrow night will be a no-go. Hoping I can get into the Y while I'm at home, though it may be closed on certain days...
