Master 2099 Madison, WI | Subject: RE: Black Magic Team Thread I agree that if we can get any kind of response from either of them that indicates they're still in, that they're still in (regardless of their mileage). Sounds like Lobstergirl is definitely still in! Woo hoo! Now we just have to get OffTheCouchAndTri to give us a shout out. She's doing the work, she should get some credit, eh? |

Expert 1099 Orlando, FL | Subject: RE: Black Magic Team Thread Thanks for all the feedback again guys. I just want to be VERY CLEAR that I do not think ANYONE should be removed for not making goal - ever. Their mileage or lack there of is not a consideration. I just want to be sure that everyone on our team WANTS to be on it and feels supported by the rest of the team. I'm excited to hear that Lobstergirl is hanging with us, and for OffTheCouchAndTri, let's just give her more BLACK MAGIC LOVE< ok??? She's doing the work - and that's not easy when you're new! GO BLACK MAGIC..... |

Elite 3022 Preferably on my bike somewhere | Subject: RE: Black Magic Team Thread Since I signed up for a 10mile trail run in early Dec, I figured I'd better start hitting the trail. So I put in some time at a State Park. Nice run! Beautiful fall foliage, only heard a couple of planes go overhead, and saw a few walkers. Man, I like this southern rural stuff. It is really wearing well on me. Hah-ha!! Great. 6.2miles today!!! |

Regular 70 | Subject: RE: Black Magic Team Thread Please, bump my goal to 45. Got a guy I work with competing just against me. We are using the same format as the challenge. We both bumped our goals to 45. He is three miles ahead of me. We write our mileage and totals on a calendar hanging on my wall. He has been telling people around the office about our little competition. ALOT of people in the office have expressed interest in competing in an 'office only' pool in November. It looks like I will be the Official scorekeeper. |

Master 2099 Madison, WI | Subject: RE: Black Magic Team Thread I did 3.6 last night in the rain, too. I'm debating upping my goal to 55. I should have my 50 in by the weekend, easy. But, I kind of feel like I'm fighting a cold. So, it might be wise not to push things. Hm... |

And that still leaves you wiggle room if you need it - fighting off the cold and all. Running in rain I love! Pilates for me today....then pick up my award! |

I may up my total goal to 45, but we're just not getting any weather breaks down here. Of course, as Brittany pointed out, I have been logging a lot of spectator time these day! Keep up the good work everybody, and I agree about LG and GOTC. We're all good!!! |

Heh. I'm a young 37! And it's RUGBY. JD spelt it wrong which is surprising (I'll let you fill the rest of the team in Eric). I'm still miffed by England losing the final to South Africa (even more so now) & Lewis Hamilton not winning the grand Prix World Title, due to car problems. At least Chelsea (my soccer team) won & the Giants, what can I say, way to go Giants! Foolproof, any feedback from the Dolphins game? Enjoy it? Wembley, London this Sunday, what I'd give for two tickets to that. Took family out to Peak District National Park (very scenic) today, boys off school for a week. Do you have 'half term' school holidays over there? Expect you call a term a semester. Our 'little darlings' get a week's holiday mid- term. Whoopee! Went into a small craft shop & bet you can't guess what was on one of the shelves modelled in clay. A JOHNDEERE tractor. 1931 model. Wish I had a camera with me. Is there a prize for upping goals? Think we are a fantastic team. Keep it up.

SO. MUCH. FUN!!!! Some of the details involve starting to Tailgate at 9am. The people across the way turned out to be from Delray too. I thought I would be the only one in a Pat's jersey, but by the time we went in it seemed most of Metro Boston had reported in. KPT was in the minority as a Dol-Fan, but lucked out as many of the visitors were Fire-Rescue also. We had a great time - D's made some good plays, but loosing the RB just left them with nothing for the rest of the season. I still think they played admirably. Hope to go again next year! I'll try and throw up a pic once they get sent over to me. And what's up with Wembley!?!? I heard that, just didn't believe it! Is this going to be like the Great Baseball Championships from a few years back? Hope you can get down and get in! Is should be a blast! |

Elite 2998 Fishers, Indiana | Subject: RE: Black Magic Team Thread Okay Team, I knocked out the 18 miles today. Read my log for the full capture of it, but needless to say, after a mere 4.5 hours of sleep, 2.5 hours of running has beat me down. And, I am going to need to be fair and let you know that while I did fully run this, I'm not sure if I can actually get in any more actual "runs" because my shoes are just done and if I do anything long (or maybe short) on it, I think I would incur an injury in my left ankle. If I was stateside, I'd just go buy new shoes...but that's a week away. So, overpassed original goal for sure. I WILL log 150 miles, but I want to be up front and let you know it'll be some walking miles. Due to vehicles turned over to our replacements, I'm walking 4-5 miles daily just to get to work and lunch and back....I haven't been logging any of those up to this point, but I'll roll them up in the next couple of days unless there are any objections to me walking and not running. Sorry guys. I'd rather run, but not in these shoes. The only thing I might do is give it a several day rest for the shoes to rebound and my ankle to rebound and I might run the 10K on Sunday. I need a nap.... Janice- glad you had fun with the game! At least the 'Boys won this week..my Texans aren't doing as hot as we thought they might...but better than last year, so maybe we say "next year?!?" Good job everyone, keep it up!! Y'all were all on my mind as I ventured through the Iraqi darkness this morning! |

Whiners need to have a birthday. Now, onto business: ran 4+ miles today in the rain and was rewarded with a big ole rainbow in the sky on the way home. Legs are STILL sore from the Trail Run on Saturday! Brittany, you are so dang inspiring... but it's at the point where I'm rooting for your getting good running shoes even more than I'm rooting for your getting good FOOD! Careful girl. Doing great team.

Hey hey! I think we ran in the same weather system! I too got poured upon during my run. I was going to stick it out for the whole 4miles, but there was thunder, and after seeing the "How Survive a Lightning Strike" on TV last week, I was reminded that the best way to survive was to not get struck. Considering where in run - in a forest next to a lake - I decided to hightail it home. Oh well - I got 3.5 in and got drenched. It was great! |

Now I have to go fight a 4-year old frankenstein headed bee with a sword who has chopped my hands off so I can't type anymore. |

Champion 26509 Sydney | Subject: RE: Black Magic Team Thread Hi, Im just writing a note here to get feedback regarding those people affected by the fires in California as Mother Nature is an unforeseen circumstance that we could not have planned for with this challenge. They way I see it there are 3 groups: I have some ideas on how we can address this but the key suggestions are: Those affected by smoke can use the gym or elliptical or treadmill to meet their goal OR if you do not have access to these facilities the above will apply. Please let me know via PM or in the team leaders thread anyone affected and what you want to do ASAP as the end of October is almost upon us. Please stay safe |

Any way, I'm at 28/35 and barring disaster will be able to comfortably reach my goal. Work has been a real beatch lately, last nights run was a real stress reliever! Hope all is safe and train well! |
