So there I was last night, ready for some T.I.T.S. while tuning into the Amgen Tour of California, brought to us courtesy of Versus TV....

I hop onto my sturdy stationary bike, attempt to put a foot onto the pedal.... and proceed to slip forward, crashing smack into the handlebars.

Duh.

In the process, I jammed two fingers. They are currently turning all shades of blue, black and purple. It's just lovely.... Oh yeah, and it makes it really tough to type. :P

Coordination... apparently it's not my strong point. LOL

I think I may have taught the dog a few new words. And after I decided nothing was broken, I got some T.I.T.S done.

Hope your day is going better than mine. LOL

Thought I would post it here before I forget:

45 minutes on the stationary bike tonight.  Severely stressed with all the deadlines  I have looming!  I'm seriously not sure if I can finish this challenge!

Hey, Great job getting some T.I.T.S. time in today!   You know, all you can do is your best.  No one expects more than that.  Sometimes it is hard to get any time at all in for yourself, but it always feels good when you can.  If you finish this challenge knowing that you did your best considering everthing that life has to throw at you, no one can take that from you.  Good luck to you and to everyone out there struggling to get a little more T.I.T.S this month!

OMG Dee, I feel your pain! (or is it the lack of coorindation that I feel? )  Hope your fingers are okay.  Sounds like a totally valid excuse for a long weekend away from work.   You're due anyway.  Want me to write you a Dr.'s excuse? Really, I'd be happy to and I'm sure no one will notice that I'm not a real doctor....

I completely understand....

In fact, I've just told some people that I won't be running the March challenge. Unfortunately, I simply don't have time.

That said...

I think Cat is going to take on the March Challenge.

So far, all that's been discussed is that it will probably involve Peeps. Yeah, you know - Peeps. Those brightly-colored marshmallow things that are popular around Easter. They will probably be worked into some kind of "losing team penalty avatar."

Several of us spent some time last night watching YouTube videos of what happens to Peeps in the microwave.

It wasn't pretty.

LOL

Yes please!

If you write me a note, I promise I'll stay home all day and work on my T.I.T.S.!

Um, wait. Maybe I need to rephrase that. LOL

2.5 hours on the trainer for me this morning..... ugh... Looking forward to SPRING!!!

2.5 hours on the trainer? What did you do during that time?

Mostly want to shoot myself in the head... The TV in the basement (where the trainer is) isn't even hooked up to cable, so my viewing choices are limited... I suffered through "Live with Regis & Kelly", part of "Good Morning America" and some of "The View", also listening to tunes on my MP3 player. I need to get some good movies to watch for these longer trainer slogs...

I squeezed in a quick 15 miles during lunch yesterday which was a lot of fun, although my wife thinks I'm a little bit nuts. You guys in the midwest have really had a tough Winter! Spring will be here soon everybody

You and shermbelle and anyone else who puts in that kind of time on a trainer are reallly dedicated. I just got a trainer this year and I don't think I've put a total of 2.5 hours on it yet. I think jsnowash deserves a little extra credit for the TV shows she endured!

I like to read on trainer rides.  The only key is to find a book that I don't mind getting sweaty.  I find that when my eyes are busy I enjoy trainer rides.  I get bored if I'm just listening to music.  I'm sure some sort of comment about how I enjoy visuals and t.i.t.s. is appropriate here.  Ummmm....

I got nothin'.

45 minutes on the trainer while watching Boston Legal on DVR.  I'm now at 103%!  I will go to 120% in case we end up increasing that percentage and then spend extra time swimming and biking.  Thanks for all the inspiration!

I plan to get over the 100 mile mark this weekend, or Monday at the latest.  I feel great this week.  Been taking it easy since the Lost Dutchman last weekend.  I know what Time in the Saddle is, what is the other one?

I put some time in on Peg's recumbent bike.  How does that little LED readout know that I went 8.06 miles.  I certainly didn't feel like I went very far.  I forgot how much I dislike machines!!

Keep up the good work everyone, we need to kick some butt (or just post all our miles) as we are trailing at the moment...

Hey teammates... I am way behind on the challenge as I took a few extra days off this week to deal with sore and stiff joints (not training related).   I'll need to get in lots of trainer time if I'm going to make my goal by next Friday...   anyone else struggling to meet their goals ??

Emerson - you are trying to remember B.A.L.L.S.  Bike A Long Length Saturday/Sunday.

NOW THAT IS AWESOME!!!!!!  Way to go on the combo.  If your "trainer" is a treadmill,  to run a 1/2 marathon on one is real conviction.  I would prefer a trip to the proctologist.

Good job my friend, Emerson

LOL, that was NOT the response I expected!

But yes, I can see contemplating that after having to watch those shows. I agree - you need to get some better viewing material!

Hm, reading? Maybe I could try reading a magazine.... I think if I tried to read a good book though, my legs would slow wayyyy down when my brain started concentrating on the book.

Actually, maybe that's why watching TV is a good option for me. I can do it and not use my brain much.

And, if you time it right, you could probably get your share of "visuals" via the TV shows. There's all SORTS of stuff on there....

Hopefully, some people will be able to hit the 110% mark, to help you out, if you fall short of your goal. (Hint, hint team! Get your T.I.T.S. done! (Wait. That didn't sound right. LOL))

Big snow storm here yesterday, so I got some time in on the trainer. To tell you the truth, after about 45 minutes I just had to stop. Now I'm even more impressed with the dedication of you people that put in so much trainer time. Hopefully it will warm up next week and I will get out a little bit.

I have a 5k tomorrow where I plan on shooting for a PR, and a half mary next weekend, so my biking will be a little limited this week, but I'll try my best to get to 110%.

Keep up the great work everybody!
