Member 33 | Subject: RE: Miami University Student Foundation Triathlon : Official Thread I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for all their helpful tips and information that made my first tri a success. Ikapop, don't feel bad, I have been doing the same thing. Normally I enjoy getting up for church but today is crap because I might miss the results posting on account of it. God won't mind if I skip this once. |

Extreme Veteran 683 Cleveland Area | Subject: RE: Miami University Student Foundation Triathlon : Official Thread Wow, just wondering, how long does HFP usually take to post race results. I know if I raced i'd be pretty pissed baout now.. I ran the St Malici race in cleveland with over 2000 racers and those results were posted within 2 hours. |

Veteran 207 Cincinnati, OH | Subject: RE: Miami University Student Foundation Triathlon : Official Thread Someone on Cincy Express team said this slowness is typical for HFP's first race of the season. I'm dying, here. Now, I wish I'd waited to leave until the race was totally over. According to hfp's website, they have final results at the race within 30 min after the last finisher. Anyone know, did they really? |

Champion 7233 | Subject: RE: Miami University Student Foundation Triathlon : Official Thread most triathlons with the exceptions of the big ones always post the monday after the race. this is normal timing, as the timing company needs to get back to wherever they are based out of, upload the results and sort them based on age groups/div and then get them uploaded to the site. my guess is this first race does take a bit longer because this is a new timing company for HFP, and thisi s the first race of the year. results at the race are simply printed off as people come across and do not reflect the division awards |

It's actually an L starting out, as in Lora. I have this problem all the time. I'm going to e-mail Ron to just change my stupid user name to Lora. Much easier. No biggie anyway. |

I thought their timing chips were different than last year. I guess I'll just have to hit "refresh" every few hours instead of twice every one - at least today. |

Somehow they do not have my age and cannot place me in my age group. That is weird! I wonder if we are going to get the event time splits.... Congrats everyone! |

Master 2014 Ohio | Subject: RE: Miami University Student Foundation Triathlon : Official Thread A 1:16:24 finish and 107 overall for me. That's a PR of 8:12 over last year and 14:26 the year before. I'm jazzed about my time. I feel I had a really great race. My RR is finished, I'm just waiting for them to list the splits so I can add them in and post it. Great job again everyone. I'm looking forward to reading everyone's RR, esp the first timers. Be detailed you guys. |

Expert 1123 Columbus | Subject: RE: Miami University Student Foundation Triathlon : Official Thread kate - that is well under 2hrs - smashing job david h - i noticed they didn't get you in age group but you finish time was stellar! great job to all sorry about the tech trouble david s - your dad did well i thought it was strange that the relays were listed in the overall results WITH individuals. i was 32nd overall, though 2 relay teams were included in that ahead of me. 4th in AG. i was disappointed with my mental attitude during the race and finished 9-10 minutes behind my goal so it was a rough day. the biggest problem was my focus and mental drive during the race (that was 80% of the problem). I was not in top physical health and though i was warned i did not expect hills that bad. oh well, enough whining for now. i'll set my sights on the next race. I am really upset that i didn't make the effort to sprint the last 200 meters. I figured the person by me at the finish didn't matter. but a sprint in the end could have moved me to 3rd in AG or up 2 places overall. i need someone to tell me i'm being panzie on the side lines |

Master 2014 Ohio | Subject: RE: Miami University Student Foundation Triathlon : Official Thread Brue, consider it done, you're being panzie on the side lines. I know you're disappointed with the end result but you had a great finish time out there. Next year we'll need to watch Vision Quest the night before instead of "Fight Club." That'll get you in the mood. |

Master 1887 Loveland, Ohio | Subject: RE: Miami University Student Foundation Triathlon : Official Thread At first glance, it looks like I came in 500/587. However, when you look at the AG results, it says my overall place was 404. Either way, as someone 2 away from dead last in my last race, and 10 away from it my first race, I'll take it! BUT, does anyone have any advice on how I might be reading that incorrectly? Also, I came in 20/26 female in my AG. On the RR, do I list that or do I add in the 30 guys that were also in my AG and say that I came in X/56? I did the latter my last race, but now wonder if I should have, though adding in the guys seems more honest. I came in under my goal of 2 hours which was great! Can't wait for the splits either! |

Expert 1123 Columbus | Subject: RE: Miami University Student Foundation Triathlon : Official Thread the whole classification in this event was pretty dumb. a big race will have elites in a separate category but those people qualify and/or are invited to the event and are typically professional athletes. this one was 'check mark the elite box if you think you are elite'. it set aside before the race the open and masters categories. most races just pull the top 3 age group finishers at the end and award them ope/overall awards. it isn't a separate category at registration. multiple clydsdale categories? I could register as open, open elite, age group, master, master elite. what should happen is -they ask my age and if i win i get an overall or age group award -and many races provide additional categories for overall athena, clydesdale and geriatrics like me. if you go faster than the other big or old racers you get an award in that category. one list has me at 32nd - the other at 22nd i count elites. i don't count teams. i know there were 29 individuals ahead of me. i placed 30th.
