Master 1639 Robbinsville NJ | Subject: RE: X-Men Hope everyone had a good weekend. I managed to get in 47 of my 200 bike miles for the month over the weekend. My 1st 2 real rides on my new bike!!!!! Unfortunately the weather doesn't look nice at all in the near future so will probably do some on the trainer or the spinner at the gym. Sucks too, on my own Tuesday night so could go for a long ride |

Champion 6225 | Subject: RE: X-Men HAPPY TO REPORT, when i woke up, my foot was feeling a-OK [thanks BEN] its a pain [not the foot....] that i have to BABY it from time to time, but if its what i got do to keep training and competing, and to avoid injections and surgery, then by golly, ill ice, soak, massage and take meds. i figured the discomfort wasnt gonna last long, its been flaring up at the end of the week [cumulative effect] after lots of time on my bike and on the run, never when im actually doing anything, so im not all that concerned. the neuroma is still there, i just need to take care of it to reduce inflammation and keep the nerve from getting pinched. par for the course w the neuroma. as for my MISSION today. heading to the Y to swim in my new suit, mid-distance swim. tomorrow i scheduled an endurance day... 64 min bike 32 min swim 32 min run that should be F-U-N. getting in thurs ride is gonna be the challenge. but im holding myself to getting it done. [and putting out here for accountability] i signed up to go into my youngest sons class to do a writing workshop [looking forward to it] thing is, ill miss spin class that morning. no biggie if the weather was nice, but it aint gonna be... so, its either the drainer later in the day or spin class in the eve [which will probably be what i end up doing] THERES ALWAYS A WAY THROUGH. HAVE A HAPPY EVERYONE! Edited by skrtrnr 2009-04-06 7:24 AM |

A little background...I got a road bike for Christmas from my DH...he insisted that I go clipless...therefore I get nauseous at the thought of taking my bike out on to the trail and riding it. On the trainer I have gotten fairly comfortable getting my feet out, but with the rash of broken collar bones I have witnessed lately I am terrified of ruining my season before it has even started! I am sure it will be fine...just need to muster up the courage and get out there! |

I know it will happen and I'd like to get it over with but, no go so far. Every time I stop, I unclip both feet just in case. That might help you feel a little more comfortable with the idea. |

Just got in my 1st to clipless rides. The 1st one went smooth with no issues. Yesterday I was coming up to a light so i clipped out in plenty of time but when I put my feet back on to pedal a little more my left clipped back in again and I almost panicked and fell. Luckily it unclipped and I put my feet down on the ground and stopped without making a donkey out of myself. |
