I think we're gonna get our son a wii fit for his birthday. At least that's an excuse to get one for us

Hate to break it to you, but that is 82 minutes.  Sorry.

I had a dinner to go to yesterday and didn't get in my run so I am now behind on the challenge.  So, I am about to go out now and see if I can't make up a little lost time.

I'm glad I didn't join the math challenge.

I'm behind and between being sick with a cold and racing most weekends, not sure how I will catch up. Glad I made my goal both run/walk as I need to be cautious how I ramp up my running again.

I changed the way I ran 3 year ago to more mid foot lander from heal striker when I was 44. I ended up with achillies tendinitis and later plantar fasciitis that I struggled with on and off for more than a year. Changing your running gait when you are older can cause injuries as your body adjusts to the new method. Funny I read that in a Friel book about a year after my issue arose.

Chi, pose and evolution running all have similar beliefs.

My warning is be careful changing your running style as it can cause you lots of issues.

Interesting... my running style just sort of evolved from more heel strike to more of a mid-foot strike. I would definetly say I'm more of a mid-foot to fore-foot striker now - you can definitely see that in the wear pattern of my shoes! But I guess I neve really actively tried to change my running form, it just sort of moved in that direction on it's own.

You have Neal. In order to keep up, you'll need to give up your job, your training, and sleep. Just stockpile some food and sit in front on the computer all day.

San Jose is actually about 400 miles southwest, Reno is 200 miles south and Boise is 400 miles northest of me.  The government considers our area of the country Unpopulated.  10,000 < per 10,000 square miles or some such.  So you are welcome to come over, but it will be a 8-10 hour drive depending on traffic.

You really do live in the middle of nowhere

Do you work from home?  close to home? Or commute somewhere?

Enjoy your run today!

The start of my run was delayed today as I spent about 40 minutes trying to repair the trench our dog dug in the yard this morning (chasing moles). My husband is going to be so PISSED!!

Anybody know any tricks to discourage dogs from digging? I know the real answer is to get rid of the moles, but until that happens, would sprinkling hot pepper powder over the area keep our pooch from digging?

Well since I rolled myself out like a pizza dough yesterday I feel great!!! Prob do a little more roll and stretch this morning and be good to go for todays training!!!!

Jsno you are a machine....
