Pretty persistent. sad thing is, if there wasnt the danger of a lawsuit to take away the bonus, i would be all over it! live off that money while finishing school... Why would there be a lawsuit taking away the bonus? From your current employer? yup, i have access to confidential technology and pricing info, i can not go work for a direct competitor. a sales guy that left for a competitor got the crap sued out of him and fired by them too... Ahhhh, that's tough. Damn non-competes. I mean, it makes sense, but it does make it rough for you to try to find a new job in the same industry... Most non-competes really aren't enforceable by law. Clearly, they are at Meh's company, but the majority of companies write them too vaguely to enforce in suits. Happened to a friend who used to work at the same company as my husband. It was eventually settled out of court and my hubby's company changed their non competes a ton. |

That was my major accomplishment for the day. Yay, Jen!!! That's a step in the right direction! Yes...although everyone wants me to stay out of the lab because I'm coughing too much. They don't want me to contaminate things. Which is probably fair... |

Yea, I had heard that about non-competes. But it sounds like Meh's company has them sorted out... Definitely fair to not want you to contaminate other samples... Is there stuff for you to do outside of the lab? |

I just know Yanti has some trouble staying out of trouble (and not TAN kind of trouble) when she goes in there. I'm sure there are at least 3 or 4 threads, though, that could get the blood boiling... |

But most of the time, it's everyone picking apart posts and focusing on one sentence or how something is said... The arguments NEVER stay on point and always go in circles... Rarely is it promotting your argument, but rather tearing someone elses down, or the words they chose, or a side note. (for example, somone would quote the above post and say "what do you mean "NEVER" - there was a thread, two years ago, that did" and on and on and on.) |
