Ya...but I don't really have a choice...I have school but I also signed myself up for an IM...Luckily school is done in less than 3 weeks...unluckily...I have 4 exams in that period...2 written, 2 clinical. Go,go, go , go ,go

Howdy ghoulies.

Just a quick pop in before I go for a bike ride here at the beach. BIKE LANES!!!!!!

Wow!!! did we have adventurous weather last night. HUGE storms, hail, 50+ mph winds and lightning that looked like nothing I have ever seen before. Then the transformer across the street was hit by a huge tree branch. On fire, they can't put it out. (electric and water are BAD) so we watched it until it burned out with all the embers blowing on our property. The rain was just barely putting them out in time. Today one car's back window smushed next door and a big tree on one of our cottages. Braqnches all over and a water line busted ( a tree limb in the falling went through the water line.. what are the odds?) Sleep did not happen until about 5 then it was time to hit the road.
The poor DH is having to do all the clean up work. Plus he is the "go to guy" for all the neighbors and I am not there to help.

We will toast him with our margaritas tonight. My place.. on the beach!

Sorry to hear about the storm and all the damage that it did.  Is it just me, or does it seem like that last couple of years have been really horrible weatherwise, and this year most of all?

Kendra, I'm with you. I don't remember getting storms this severe this early in the year. In July and August, yes, but in April and May, no, not so much.

Quick breeze by before heading of to teach the masses the dos and don't of hazardous waste.

Today the smoke is everywhere from the huge fire. Glad I got my bike in yesterday. I will have to run on a treadmill this afternoon if It doesn't get any better. I can hardly breathe.

There is a huge fire on the coast of NC. It has burned over 20,000 acres so far.

You will get through this Melissa.  Thank goodness you have Neal, who I'm pretty sure understood that it was not him, and glad that he could be there for you.

Wow, I hadn't heard anything about that either.  But then again, I don't listen to news.  Stay safe and find clean air to breath.

Planning on a run tonight.  Hoping to go 3 miles today.  We shall see.

Just got back from an hour long all-hands meeting.

While we were all in the auditorium the fire alarm went off. I work in a very large building and we all had to evacuate. I'm not sure what it was, but there were 4 firetrucks and 4 cop cars outside the building.
