Morning Ghoulies. I had a lovely, fairly short easy ride yesterday to Bridal veil falls in Dupont State forest. I am really nervous about heading out into the woods by myself and proud that I did it. I only came across two people hiking the whole time. Rare this time of year and on such a pretty day. I took a couple of pictures and I'll post after hair appt and shopping shores.

I did chores, and went for a nice (slow) run with the DH, then went to a friends home that I hadn't seen in a while for a foundation fundraiser. It was a great group of people, her home is on the top of a mountain with beautiful fall leaves and view. We also went to a fall night festival that had a trail with thousands of lighted pumpkins. It actually was so-so. If you had kids it would have been great fun. As it was, Jim and I tootled through, then went for sushi.

Nice weekend all in all.

Today is chore day again, and I have to pick up my bike at the shop and get the nice young boys to put on my new bike rack. We determined that my roof rack is 2 years older than them (and my step son) and it is plain worn out. The moving parts don't anymore without great force and while I can use it for my road bike, getting the MT bike up there is nearly impossible for me.

I'm feeling better today. I would like to have a weekend to sleep when I'm feeling better.

It is no fun HAVING to nap. It is great fun TAKING a nap!

Ann, sorry you haven't been feeling well.  Hope that the long sleep over the weekend helped.

Robin, the trail of pumkins sounded like it would be fun, sorry it did not live up to expectations.

I worked all weekend, so not much fun there.

But I will be off as of 4:30 tomorrow afternoon and be heading for DC.

It is never a dull moment at my house. I got home before the kids yesterday, so I got changed and had planned to workout while they were in class. Things never go as I have planned. They walked in the door and my daughter was crying and she handed me a form from the school nurse. She hit her head on something metal on the playground at recess. She told me all afternoon she had a headache, she couldn't focus, she felt sick in the stomach. She said her teacher read a book but she had no idea what the teacher was talking about. I think she has a mild concussion. I put my jeans back on and she sat with me while my son was in class.

I did get a little bit of yoga in when we got home. She wasn't herself last night and she just wanted to be with me so we laid down in my bed and watched TV. I'm not sure if I'm going to let her practice soccer tonight or not. I will decide when she gets home from school.
