uhcoog - 2011-12-23 8:37 AM Forgot to add that I'm having one of those weeks where I just want to eat everything in sight.  Not good since Cindy went on that baking tear last weekend.

I say enjoy the baked goods for the next week, and then get back to watching.  That's what I'll be doing

Alright, I'm officially over this winter. Third storm through here recently and got yet more snow. Half the state got the roads shut down, too. I feel sorry for anyone trying to travel through here this Christmas season.

This whole Cervelo Share the Ride deal is making me trigger happy.  A P3 for $2300 sounds very nice.

I wish!!!  There is a guy in the main forum looking for someone to buy with him!!

The wife was trying to do something with a Tri bike this week, and has been real sneaky.  She kind of broke down last night and said it didn't work out.  I am actually happy it didn't, because she was relying on a friend to help her.  I told her that you can't just go out and buy a bike for someone without knowing much about what they want, size, fit etc.  But it was nice of her to think that way.  Plus it's somewhat in the budget, but not 100%.

2nd annual Xmas Eve XC mountain bike ride tmrw morning, hosted and lead by me! Weather calles for high of 30, but at 10:00 am start, it's going to be low to mid 20's.  That don't hurt as bad in the woods than it would on the road. We had some heavy rain last night that'll make it interesting. Last year we had a whopping 4 riders.  This year, we have 10 committed.  We'll see who shows!.  Plan is 15-20 miles. (Did I already post this, I am losing my memory!!!)  Of course, a couple beers to follow in my newly built glorified shed!!!

Jeff you're memory comment made me realize I go up an AG this year.  Need to figure out if that's good or not so good.

So don't I.  I'll be 35-39 this year.  I turn 35 on April 9th.  I'd like to think it's a good thing, being on the younger side of the AG, but somehow, it's prob not.

Swimming makes you hungry because the water is cool and your body has to work to stay warm.  You actually burn a lot of calories when swimming not from the actual moving of your arms and legs but from your body engaging in some thermo regulation.

It depends who your competition is and what age they are.  Unfortunately for me when I aged up, so did all the USAT ranked women who live in the Atlanta area.

I'm glad I'm staying in 30-34 for one more year

I can't believe all of you are getting nice tri bikes this year....leaving me behind in the dust with my modest little roadie.  Ah, well.  Maybe one day I'll join you all.

Karen - love your new picture!

I race with a friend who is in the W50-54 and they are incredibly competitive - their times are often better than many of the younger AG's, including my 40-44. Enjoy your 30's!!LOL At least those women will be in the W60-64 when I get to the 50's!!
