Don't forget most of the people of Woodbury are zombies in their own right.  Living happy and care free as if everything's rosy.  The Governors murderous posse seems to be a small fraction of the Woodbury people.
They'll be going WTF when the Prison buzz saw comes to town.

Good point. Hadn't thought about that before. But is there such a thing as fresh with walkers?

I heard that after the big fight at Woodbury, there's a new character that appears in the books. And apparently this is a key character here on out... That should be interesting.

You just got me all fired up! SH!Y I'm ready to head to Woodbury to kick some azz now.

Consider the "tale of the tape"...

Woodbury:

• The townspeople don't fight.  They leave that up to the guards.  And it seems as though most of the guards have little direct experience dealing with large numbers of biters.  They mostly rely on ambush techniques to kill people to steal their weapons.
• "How have you managed to keep all of this going?"  "Strong walls."
• "We're never allowed over the wall."  You have to shoot biters from a distance.
• "Oh yeah I'm good with this bow."  Misses two shots in a row.
• Michone easily takes out three guardsmen and gets away wounded from Merle.
• "That prison was overrun, how did you manage to take it?"  "We just did."  "How many of you are there?"  "About ten."  "That's impossible!"
• Once Andrea knows who's coming to town, she'll flip sides in an instant.
• Pros:  They have a huge arsenal and Merle is pretty tough.

Rick's Prison Group:

• Each and every one has taken out walkers BY HAND.
• They're used to up-close, hand-to-hand combat as they prefer not to waste ammo and make noise to attract more walkers.
• Have fought off and escaped from hordes of walkers in the hundreds.
• Nearly each and every one an excellent marksman, shooting walkers in the head from a distance.
• Tough enough to chop off your friend's leg to save him.  Cover yourself in walker entrails to move among them.  Stab your best friend in the stomach and kill him.  Perform an emergency c-section with no experience.  Shoot your own mother in the head.
• They have Michone and Daryl, the two biggest bad-azzes on the block!

I almost hope they DON'T follow the graphic novel storyline.  LET'S GET REEEEAAADDDY TO RUUUUUMMMBLE!

Crossbows, samurai swords, hack blades, prisoner with a hack tool. That's kinda ninja right???

Didn't the helicopter belong to the national guard dudes? I didn't think Woodbury had one.

I'm calling it now: In the season finale, they'll have a kid together and name him Chuck Norris.

Interrupted by the mid season pause...

I bet Andrea speaks up and says something like "lets have a trial" or "enough klling" eventually causing a reunification with Rick's group.

If I'm a nut job like the Governor, reunification with someone who stabbed me in the eye is not in the cards.

He won't allow a trial of any sorts either as the town would then discover he is lying about Merle's involvement in the fracas.

I'd go with Merle and Darryl escaping somehow as a more likely scenario. Or maybe they don't now that there is a new group to add to the cast.

once she found the zombie daughter and the fish tanks, why did she not get the eff out and realize michonne was right, and he was a creepy mother effer?  andrea got so pathetic this season.  she better man up in february.

Merle and Daryl sense that the writer's want to sacrifice both of them for ratings and decide to band together and put the walking dead and living on the back burner and stage a coup against the writers and producer......   Fourth wall be damned.....

Survival of the fittest is what this show is all about....

Yeah, I agree.  She ain't got no sense.

I think that in the "look ahead to the next episode" they showed smoke grenades again and people running every which way in the courtyard.  I assume what will happen is that Rick, Michonne, etc stage a great rescue from the courtyard.  I mean at one smoke grenade, all heck broke loose the last time.  Now you have a bunch of scared whiners in the courtyard calling for the deaths of two dudes. 

I don't know who said it earlier, but darn good point on the accuracy/ineptitude of the guards.  Rick and the gang really stuck it to them good.

I'm glad the other group linked-up with Rick's group.  I wonder what will happen with the girl who got bit.  They still didn't bash her brain...

I think the young son of the new group is going to steal Carl's girl, and he's going to go all school-yard bonkers on the kid.

With the addition of the new group and Michonne, they should now number what... 15?  Fifteen hardened, tested fighters against the soft masses of Woodbury?  No contest, especially if some of Rick's group finally goes and finds the prison Armory and they get all stocked up on AR's and ammo.

Good stuff this ep. So I guess I can go to bed on time for a few Sundays from now on.
