Kids are great, but costly! I had a friend who's brother had a child, a girl. They wanted a boy. So they "tried again". got a girl. They tried for the third time, got twins... girls. The One in Charge Above has a great sense of humor!

I don't know how people do it. Kids are expensive. I know not every family is active either, but when you have kids in sports trying to get everyone where they need to be is tricky. I think only 1 time Caleb was playing soccer and neither of us was there to watch. Donnie was coaching Keri, and it was her first game and I wanted to watch her. I felt so guilty though that no one was watching Caleb that part way through her game I walked over to where he was playing. I missed her score 2 goals. I know with basketball this winter there will be days when we each take a kid and go to a game. If the parents are outnumbered how do you do it all?

That is the thing, you can't do it all. Lots of parents with multiple kids don't even try.

The next round of holiday parties starts tomorrow.  I will be making desserts tonight.  Ah, the calories.....

What should we bring?

heh! I can bring a side dish.

Well for this week's party,  I am making Kiss Pies (chocolate mint) and Hawaiian Blueberry Pie (blueberry & pineapple).

I know that there will be chicken, pizza, salad, and side dishes of cole slaw and potatoes.  So bring whatever you like, especially an appetite!

I want to do cards every year, I just never get to it. We used to have address in a spreadsheet to print out labels, but we lost it. I just can't write out all the address.

Keri had asked for a basket for her bike. Santa told me he is bringing everyone bikes this year. I ordered her a basket, and it came yesterday. I had it sitting on the dining room table when I went down the road to get her off of the bus. When we got home she asked if I could help her carry stuff in. I ran in to the house telling her I had to go to the bathroom and I grabbed the basket as I ran past.

Good save! Not to self, hide presents immediatly. My SD had a nose for presents. She could sense when they were in the house!

I know. I hid it under my bed for now, but it will go downstairs later today on a shelf with my outdoor gear, she never goes down there. When her bike gets delivered I'll put it on her bike before that goes into hiding, so I don't forget about it for Christmas.

I think I better clarify something... The kids don't know their getting bikes. She asked for the basket to put on her current bike, but I picked one out that will look good on the bike Santa is bringing.
