kaqphin - 2008-01-11 2:56 AM Finally left work about 6:30 amd bought stuff home with me... Im now going to sit down with vodka... anyone want to join me?
How was the vodka? I find it the ultimate way to mellow out after stressful situations. Good morning, Nibbs. Guess what my hubby ebayed for me and gave me last night? A Garmin 305! My Polar battery died and I had to send it off to get the batteries replaced. So I've been training naked except on the road bike. Now I have a new toy! I am so lucky. I do not know how the man can stand me sometimes (especially when I'm hormonal). He can be so thoughtful.

Jealous on the 305.  Hold on to that guy.

I love my 205.

enders_shadow - 2008-01-11 9:50 AM Sal - you're a posthound... I took notes reading back 3 pages and was going to put all of my love in one post, but since you're going all out...

Morning Kristen!!!  This project has been kicking my butt!  Been to Albuquerque and Chicago the past couple weeks, and off to Chicago again next week.  The dust is settling a bit, so I thought I'd at least get my morning fix on BT...

Really, Spokes....could you move back to Iowa? I mean, I love the place, but perish the thought. I couldn't really handle eating Iowa food anymore (loose meat sandwiches - ick!).

Pam - that is great about the black belt testing.  It is amazing how much goes into it.  Really impressive that your son is so into it.  Hope all goes well.  also really cool about the garmin 305.  I got that one and love it.  used it for my New Years eve race and it was cool looking at all the charts and graphs.

Judy - yeah on the new phone.  It is always fun to have a new toy.

Beth - you may have lost your stars, but you still have your glitter.

Cat - good luck with the review next week.  Hopefully some $ attached to it.  It's a bummer having to carry the workload for missing staff.  We have been down 60 hours here for a year and no sign of hiring.  My staff keep asking me and I don't have any control over it.

Yanti - about time you called the redhead.  We will all be waiting for the report.

Scott - it's never too late to let the writer in you free.  Go for it.  And I too hate forced company "happy" activity committees.  Now if all the parties and activities were held on company time I would not have a problem.  But my free time is all my own BT time.

Sal - when will you learn, Scott in a kilt is Scott in a kilt and not Sal in a kilt.  Besides, there was no red hair wig.  Now maybe if you get Yanti's redhead in the kilt, that might do.  LOL  also yes you need somewhere really nice to celebrate your 20th.  That is a wonderful milestone.

It was Sal's fault. Isn't everything? I think Mila will back me up on this.

I was going to conserve posts and do one big one, but he tempted me.

I did it!!!!! Finally found the location for option 2 and just back from applying...It's a clean facility, small in size.  I think 40 beds. There's a new hospital being built right behind it (umm, rebuilding a hospital that is already in existance and I worked for the parent co. of that place in PA--won't go back to working under that group...)And, it's only about 14 miles from my door to theirs, it took about 20 minutes to get there (my current job is 35+ miles and 40 minutes of driving).

Option 1 still has not re-posted the job I applied for so I'll keep checking their  web site.  However...if option 2 calls me for an iterview beore option 1 re-posts that position I've been waiting for...I will probably take option 2.  It's closer to home which is part of the goal, near the battlefield that I occasionally train on fo running/biking (a 4 mile road w/ lots of moderate hills) and I have to go past my gym to get there so I could always go to the gym before/after work depending on my shift...

Good luck...sending you "Get a good job" vibes! Sounds like #2 has some positives...

And just on a side note, people in Richmond give me such a hard time because we live so far away from work. Ha! Sugar daddy has a 15-20 minute drive to downtown, I have a 12-minute drive if I'm not stopping at the Monkey's school/daycare. 12-20 minutes is flippin' heavenly, after living in DC and Chicago and spending 45-75 minutes on the train in each city. You must be driving forever forever forever to go 40 minutes in Richmond.

It is forever and ever to get to work...CHester to Mechanicsville? Up 95N to 360, through that *lovely* section of Henrico (NOT) and up Atlee Rd...Yeah, 95 is usually crummy, that section of 360 is full of lights and just is a crummy section to go through...

HI NIbbs,

I know, been a while since I've been around.

Sounds like life is pushing everyone forward.  Lots of good vibes circulating around.  Hopefully we will all make it through our obstacles at work alive and better for it.  (aren't challenges great, we learn so much about ourselves during these times)... yes, I'm playing the part of an optimist today.

I've been trying to relax more at work, but somehow the disasters still exist.  Took the day off for skiing and it was well worth it, can't wait for next Thursday to roll around again.

Well, back to the disaster zone, but this time I've got my task list... now for music to work to... perhaps DuranDuran?

And yet I'm still younger than you  (I hate to bite the hand that feeds, it's sooo much informaaation, the pressure's on the screen, it's seven days that you don't need, it's tooooo much informaaation for me)

Hmmm... I've got Whitesnake on the Media player too.
