Hi Nibbs!

Yes, it was wonderful to turn in my resignation yesterday.  Was talking to someone from night shift this morning--the whole department is at a real low in morale and the upper level just does not see that we're getting killed and all they want is MORE (such a managerial thing...)

Course the flip side to the new job is now I have to shop for real clothes cause I own uniforms, work out attire, dressy stuff and jeans. Not a whole lot in the business casual line right now...That means I won't be buying any extra tri related toys right now but I pretty much have the basics so that's okay

Oh Boy!!! Nibbs haven't been clothes shopping since Cat's party way back...

Let's see black pants, tan pants, brown is always a good color too (esp come fall)... then some basic button down shirts...

oh Dee, you have a mind in the gutter or something. Hey, i found out someone at work who has also figured out about LD being a tramp. Seems her kid will only eat the oatmeal cream pies...

Moi? Nooooooooooo

Um, I'd put up my Tweety avatar to show my innocence, but he's missing that catchy New England Pats theme...

zipp1 - 2008-03-12 9:35 PM Yeah, I'm kind of liking the idea of wearing real clothes--but not keen on laundry and ironing stuff cause that's more time from actually doing anything I enjoy like running, swimming and the occasional bike thing to keep me really humble
Yeah I forgot about that part. It takes no time or effort to throw on a swimsuit, shorts and a t-shirt.
yeah, scrubs are the same way.  Big decision each day is which white shirt to go with the umpteen pairs of navy scrub pants. Bigger decision is which socks since they're typically cute 9have to express personality SOMEWHERE)!

I wear very bright shoes. Right now I'm wearing orange crocs. I had lime green flip flops and hot pink sandals. Now you'll actually be able to wear jewelry. I am soooo envious! I miss my jewelry!

Don't forget to look for clothes that you don't have to iron... shirts I can find.. can't seem to find any pants like that, though...

Do you not iron your srubs?  It drives me nuts that my husband has no problem wearing wrinkled scrubs... ugh!!!

Yeah, I'm looking forward to bracelets and rings once in a while...I wind up taking all jewelery off if I'm swimming.  The pool has eaten through clasps and chains of even the good stuff...

This one guy came up to me at church and he was like "Pam, I almost didn't recognize you with clothes on!" He immediately turned red and explained I was his daughter's swim instructor when everyone turned and stared at us.
Good one!  I once recognized a lady I took care of in the hospital by her gallbladder incision when I was working at a Dr's office!

Now that's a little weird.  But at least you might not have that happen again for quite some time.

No, I don't iron scrubs.  if you time things right and get them right out of the dryer to hang up there's no wrinkled scrubs (ha, the avoidance of the iron persists)

Oh, it means real shoes too...I LOVE shoe shopping

You have felt my pain. My favorite necklace is awaiting a new clasp because of this. I even wear a cheap gold band because I won't expose my diamonds in my wedding ring to all the chlorine. It is so corrosive...

so it is a universal pool issue and not just the way my gym keeps things...interesting.  Course most gyms are heavy handed with chlorine because of little kids peeing inth epool and such...

Unless you have a chest... I find it impossible to get button down shirts that fit and dont try and burst open around the bust line... so  I cannot buy button down shirts for the most part!

I own cheap jewellery for work - hoops and things that you buy from cheap shops (usually targetted at teenages but you can find some nice classic looking stuff too)

That way if I loose something or grow tired of it Im not missing anything valuable.
