wow - it sounds like it is super hot and humid - bleh! 

Hey Beth!  I almost went for sushi tonight, but by 8:00 I just wanted to get home.

zipp1 - 2008-06-05 9:23 PM I had to run .....it sucked with it being 49% humidity and 80+degrees at 7:30 PM...actually had to take walk breaks cuse my HR was through the roof and I ALWAYS run this loop. Got home and changed to splash in the pool to cool off..IT WAS FREEZING, but I got cooled off

That's winter weather!

We've got a half mary a few weeks from now that is starting at 6am!!  All in the name of avoiding the heat.  It's certainly nothing to play around with.  You made a WISE decision, Judi.

Loooooong.  Needed to be done though.  I want to scoot out early tomorrow for packet pick up and an early dinner.  All to be followed by the typical pre race nervous pacing.

What time you head home tomorrow?

my flight leaves at 11:30 - so I will head for the airport between 9 and 9:30 - I will be home around 3 if all goes well 

pre race pacing counts as training, right? 

I should wear my gps and see how far I actually walk!

I broke my HRM too - although in some ways it's been a blessing in disguise

it's a birthday weekend - my oldest DS turns 19

yes, it's true, I have a 19 year old son, I really can't believe it! 

Oooh birthdays!  Enchiladas maybe?

I don't know how I broke it.  It just stopped working.  I did wear my watch into the hot tub the other day.  It still works, but there's water under the face which makes it really interesting to try and read.

LOL! no enchiladas this weekend - the next enchilada feast is July 5th - my youngest DS has already planned and sent out invitations for his own going away party

I asked him why he was planning his own party - he looked at me like I had horns - and said something about enchiladas - LOL

I think I accidentally started my monitor and ran the battery down - I went to a local place to replace the battery, but didn't tell them it needed to be waterproof...........the HRM worked until I wore it in the pool

it's come back to life enough that I can at least use it on runs to keep track of over all time 

haha!!   mmm... I think a delicious mexican dinner is in the cards Saturday night.

So is he headed off to college?

actually he just finished up his freshman year and my dd is headed to her first year of college in the fall -

LOL!  I am very willing to share - it's the recipe off of the back of the can of enchilada sauce - 

to be honest, I'm not really sure what it is I do that makes them taste 'different' other than things always taste better if someone else makes it - right?

I'm going to write up what I do, and I will send you a PM in the next few days
