Actually, the water temperature really wasn't bad. It was somewhere in the low 60's but I didn't have any problem putting my face in the water and breathing. I DID have issues with the wind, current and swells in one direction. It helped to breathe only to the beach side but then I was having trouble navigating. I finally gave up with swimming that direction and just did down wind/current.

This is a huge confidence booster for next week! Kinetic here I come!


This is so good, great job on going out today with the weather not that great. This will help you when race day comes

Good training weekend in; 41 miles biked on Saturday, and 8 mile run Sunday. Managed to get all in with family time as well. Ended up two nights at 'Movies at the Park', and then half the day Sunday at the 51's minor league baseball game. Time for a relaxing Monday!
