Veteran 392 Calgary | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge Last day! Last day last day last day! I only have to get through tonight, as tomorrow life gets back to normal! Woot woot! ;-) The big introduction last night went fabulously - I'm so relieved. Dinner theatre was good, the show was great the food was ok (no healthy choices, but what the heck) and everyone got along well! ... I didn't sleep well last night though, and as a result totally flaked out on my planned swim today. I'm a little angry with myself, but I am completely and utterly exhausted (physically AND emotionally) ...

Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge dimplespoo - 2011-03-10 4:06 PM Got a walk in this morning (3.4 miles) and will bike tonight to stay on track.
Tomorrow morning get to go see the dr about the hand/wrist - will see if they tell me I have to follow in Rhoda's footsteps. Been managing to brace it and keep the pain mostly dealt with for years but last week my pinkie and ring finger on my right hand have started to go numb. Guess it is time to get it seen. Tomorrow at 10:20 si the time. Happy Thursday to everyone! Stacie Good luck Stacie! |

Master 1346 Gold Coast | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge Hi Guys! Ive been lurking today and not posting. I'm in a bad mood and have no reason for it at all, just one of those days, and its a Friday for goodness sake! Anyway, good luck to Emma with the race, hope your wrist held out ok on the bike Rhoda, stick with it TR, so close, any swim is a good swim Judi (we both feel the same way about swimming I know so its enough to get in the pool in my book!), absolutely sure I have forgotten other peoples news/events so sorry! I have a stupidly busy weekend planned but with any luck it will be fun at least. Short version - reffing most of the day tomorrow, remedial massage, referees pre season BBQ, 80k bike on Sunday, yoga, lunch with friends, groceries, cleaning.....and maybe a little sleep if I am lucky! |

Elite 3913 far northern CA | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge This is going to be an interesting day. Reverse 911 call at 5AM due to the tsunami. We live on a hill so everything will be fine at our house. My drive to work should be interesting due to closed roads, though. Sending thoughts and prayers to the people of Japan. |

A steriod Z-pack for 6 days, back in the brace for 4 weeks and PT for 4 weeks (as soon as I get referred off base). If this doesn't work (which my dr is at the 50-50 point) then we go MRI/Ortho/Release Surgery. While I am not happy - I was expecting it - it wasn't a surprise. I think that is why I kept putting it off. Stacie |

Stay safe! Same for everyone else in areas being affected. Hope no one here is affected ! Looks incredibly powerful and violent with the TV images . It must be 100 times worse to be there. I was listening to simon gowen Podcast yesterday and he reminded me of how much fun a change a pace can be to the routine of workouts especially when you have been doing triathlon for 5 years . Last year i started attending our mountain run series on a regular basis. We have some pretty decent mountains right in our backyard . I was a bit daunted by the terrain , elevation , distances and the possiblity of encountering desert wildlife . But i have come to learn that to appreciate the mountains you have to travel in them and sample their uniqueness and diversity. Looking forward to the next one ... |

Try using theraband and tie it to your forarm. Do a tricep extension in a standing position as if you were using a pully system. |

Same for everyone else in areas being affected. A couple years ago my son was working at a scout camp up in the mountains. Every Saturday I would drop him off in the morning and then I would go running in the mountains for 6-7 hours. Absolutely loved it. I wish I still had time to spend that much time enjoying nature. |
