Sounds good. Just FYI, our challenge weeks end on Sundays and begin on Mondays, and then we (the captains) send our team totals in to Marmadaddy on Monday nights...but I can look at your logs if you're more comfortable with sending in a weekly total on friday. Previous week's totals get posted in the "January Swim Challenge Totals" thread on Tuesday mornings.

Happy Swimming!

Jeff,

I will send my weekly results to you by Sunday then.

Will my swims last week count for the month? I didn't count them in!

If they're all in January, then yeah, we can make them retroactive. When you send this week's totals, put last week's in there too so I can modify my weekly spreadsheet.

Along the lines of Brent, I'd like to join. Although I'm listed as Fort Knox, Kentucky, I'm only here because the Army sent me here. I'm a St. Petersburg quasi-native and a recent Gainesville resident. I'm fairly new to swimming and will pledge 5,000 for the month. I'd like to join if possible.

Like I said, defense personnel get special dispensation. This applies to those in the US and allied nations.

Captains, just include any new people and their information in the next weeks stats to me.

If this keeps up we're going to be able to hold challenges between branches of the U.S. Armed Services which would be pretty cool because then we could have a forum called 'TRICOM'

I just want to say... I like Marines, especially the ones who run on Gandy bridge in their little workout uniforms (olive green t's and shorts).

Renee,
Just for you, w/o the shorts though

You're in! Welcome to the team Steve! We guarantee that by the end of the month you'll be a much better swimmer. Last challenge, I had only swum about 2000 meters in a month, now I'm doing that in two days. This is a great way to get you acquainted with long swims! Best of luck this month!

Renee-Skip your Saturday swim and swim with me and Jess on Sunday!

GREAT! I'm happy to be on. It's nice to be on. It gives me a goal. I had a great workout partner in Gainesville. We met at the gym at 5 am. I knew I had to get up because I would be letting him down if I didn't go. Now I know that I have to log the yardage for you guys!

Hehe, yeah what they don't realize is that when they smack talk we just swim more. Oh did I mention I'm 43% of goal already, even though we're only 38% into the month??

Hmmm...maybe the POSTING is a GOOD thing... YAY ME. Let's go teammies, let's show 'em this time.

Oh by the way, we may be in last...but that's gonna change this week...let's not forget who was in 8th last month, only to come in second, and that was only because ONE person (out of 12) not meeting their goal. Florida Force is modified and turbocharged this month. We have the tools and we have the talent!! GO FORCE!!!!!

I'm at 3.1k/16k.

Saturday, I'll swim 4k and Sunday I'll swim either 3k or 4k, so I should be 10k/16k or 11k/16k after this weekend.

Should blow past my goal this month.

Hey Team FL Force,
I either have to revise my 10k committment or pull out. I'm now scheduled to fly over to Hong Kong the 22nd for a customer. I can get maybe 4 or 5 swims in before then so either change me to 5K or let me go...

Whatever's easier for you, no problems. I'll let Marmadaddy know whatever you decide. If it's easier for you to withdraw, then that's totally fine. Either post here or PM me and I'll make the necessary changes. Wow, Hong Kong...cool!!!!

OK kids...thanks for the help on the numbers...some I looked up, others you sent me. So here's this week's totals as I see it. Please correct me if I'm wrong...

Renee-4667/7767/16000/49%
Peter-4200/8000/16700/48%
Jessica-10924/14804/33000/45% (Damn girl...that's more than my GOAL!!!)
Steve-3300/3300/5000/66% (Percentage leader this week)
Me-3721/6459/10000/65%
Mark-2000/4000/12500/32%
Brent-2377/2377/10000/24%

Just for the record, Don (DRM) has dropped out due to travel constraints with work.

OK with those totals, we are at 45% of goal. We need to push a little harder (collectively I mean...some of us have taken GREAT strides this week!! Yay!) this week so we can be at about 75% of goal at 75% of the month. Now's the time!!!! GO FORCE!!!
