One of my co workers 14 year old daughter was killed in an auto accident. I did not know her but I remember when she was born. Mr. Macho SWORE he would NEVER be wrapped around HIS daughters finger and he would NEVER talk baby talk to his kids. He brought her to the office just after she was born. He baby talked to his Princess who owned him from her first coo. My heart breaks for him and his family.

The funeral is this evening. Hug those you love and let them know you love them.

Good morning Ghoulies.

I had a wonderful weekend even though I had to work.  Saturday night we went out to dinner with friends and then ended up at their house playing "Settlers of Catan".  A great evening.  Then Sunday I left work an hour early and went to the Gladiators (local minor hockey team) game.  They won 5-4 which keeps them in first place.  Cool.

Today I am going to try for a 3 mile run after work.

I just got off of the phone with my boss. The first week I was here he told me that he made an offer to someone to fill the other vacant position (the one emptied by the man who died). Apparently this man verbally accepted the offer, but no one has heard from him since. He is currently an employee of this company, and the project he works on is ending later this month. My boss has emailed him, he knows he's getting the emails because of the read receipts. He has called him at home, at work, on his cell, and heard nothing. He no longer wants this person on our team, he is working with HR to see if they can legally no longer accept his verbal agreement. If that's how he is I don't want to have to work with him.

Got in a 3 mile run yesterday after work.  Ran 3 min, walk 1 for a 11m 13s/Mi pace.  I feel good about that.  I think that all this other training I have been doing is paying off for my running.  Woot!

In the words of my boss yesterday "We need you to learn A LOT, and in a hurry".

Yes, I think they would prefer to pay me for actually doing things.

Registration for the MCM is today. I am signing up my hubby! I am so very proud of him for even considering this. I'll do the 10 K again.

Any one else?

My friend who ran in AZ with me ran it last year, she is running it again this year and asked if I was doing it. I just don't think I can. I may do the 10 K though, and hope it doesn't snow again.

You should DEFINITELY do the 10 K with me! I am assuming the cold this year was a fluke. A HUGE fluke. It was damn cold!

Yeah, that wasn't typical weather. I have a little more time to decide on the 10 K, that one doesn't sell out as fast. Last year's MCM set a record for selling out, I wonder what this years will be like.
