Then after Michone put down the Governors daughter she's standing there with the sword.  lets see, stab/slash him with the sword?  No, i think i'll go wrestle with him and try to choke him from behind with the handle?  WTF???

Well, if they follow the comics, the new boy is Tyreese's daughter's boyfriend.

I know this is a TV show but damn!  You have this whole prison as mentioned by the OP every Prison usually has an ARMORY, not to mention the Kitchen area for abundant food sources.  Furthermore, I would have walked every damn inch of the "perimeter" of that place before going to sleep.  Inside is a diffeent story.  Now we find a huge hole on the other side Zombies just stroll in and out of the prison like a food mall.  THE DI says "JHC" Private WTF are you thinking, shore up the parimeter and establish a front line of defense and fall back positions.  All I see is these fools running around in the prison and always upon always meeting up with new walkers.  Jesus, I wonder where they all keep coming from, especially the civilian walkers.

And those lame azz vehicles! And teams going into stores together with no lookouts.  Making boat loads of noise all the time.  Attacking the Mayors town without recon for an entry point. Why the hell are they all not dead yet.  This is just the tip of my iceberg.  But this is all fantasy tv anyway.

I get a kick out of the "tactical aspect" of the show as well.  I was laughing when they dropped gas to free Glenn and Maggie and all the bad guys got wiped out from the smoke, but they all strolled in with no masks on like it was no big deal.  huh?

Then the always present walking/running down a street with a half a dozen people shooting fully auto weapons at you and never getting hit at a range of less than 50 yards.  Umm, yeah....

They did find the cafeteria/kitchen and are not worried about food - they go out to get formula for the baby.  And they know there is an armory but they haven't found it yet.  The one thing that sticks out is that supposedly the first day at the prison they walked the whole perimeter in between the fences...so how did they miss all that exposure on the back end of the prison?!??!  When they first showed it last night, I didn't realize it was the prison till Carl found them inside, because how could they have missed so much of the prison???

i'm not sure i catch what you are saying here...what is unrealistic about surviving the zombie apocalypse?

That's where you and I disagree... 

They should be on the hook for the accuracy of everything except for the fact that there are flesh-eating zombies.  Think "Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies."  The only change from the story was that there were zombies...

Not that I'm a badazz... But I've thrown CS Gas into a building and run in without a gas mask and grabbed someone... Smoke Grenades don't do anything but obscure.  If you were in that situation with the building and having to clear the wall, you'd be better off throwing it at the people who are trying to hit you.

They said it was White Phosphorous in the story sync. 

Funny thing about WP (nicknamed Wooly-Pete) grenades is that the effective casualty radius is 30 meters.  Average person can't throw that grenade further than 10 meters.  So you chuck it and run the heck away!

It doesn't create smoke, so much as burn everything white hot.  If it gets on your flesh, you have to hold it underwater (to choke it out of oxygen) and cut the flesh off that it is stuck to.

Combination Artillery rounds of High Explosive (HE) and WP are nicknamed Shake and Bake.  Coolest radio transmission to make: "Shake and Bake, Fire for Effect!"

I would prefer more thought into the storyline.  Many of us who are military or prior look at this and chuckle.

Very true.  The battlefield is in 3D.  You can scale walls, go on top of buildings, go through buildings, go through walls.  Going down an alley and then coming out of the same entrance to the alley does look funny.  But then again, none of these people (except Rick) have any training in what to do in a firefight. Even he probably never had much training since he was a suburbs sheriff's deputy wasn't he?

And back on the Armory.  3 things, Food, Shelter, and Protection.  2 out of 3 is good but now I am searching dead bodies for weapons, searching the prison, and building my own stockpile ASAP, not screwing in the tower (well, not all day at least).

Mr2Tony, do you agree with that? Would you rather search-out zombies in dark spaces where you had just lost a few people or hanky-panky in the tower?

Tony could give a good indication of what Glenn would do in that situation, you know, because they're both asian. .

When they first got in the building, someone went to the back and said there was no back exit, so they had to go back out the front (this is part of them being *really* pissed at Michon).  Thus, you pop smoke to obscure other's view of you.  If they can't see you, they don't know which shadow is you or one of their own... all you'd see in smoke is flashes and silhouettes.

For grabbing Glenn & Maggie, you throw smoke to mask your movements and disorient them.  You can hold your breath or breathe shallow long enough to get in, grab them, and lead them out.

Well, you know how "they" are.  I'm still seaching for "you people" and "them".  Regardless, these groups are elusive and ever changing. 

Mr2Tony is Asian?  Did he lower his seat after the factory install?
