Hey Mary, what a great response.  You're right, we're always making baby steps and sometimes don't really realize the progress we're making.  It's fun to look back and see where we were 6 months ago, a year ago.

Time for the Thursday update. Everyone is kicking butt and taking names. Chrystal, we're all wondering how's it going since the wisdom teeth were removed - hope to hear from you soon. I've had to get creative since the snowstorm and my back can testify to the amount of work you do while shoveling. I'm hoping to get in a run at the gym tonight after Brianna goes to bed, but we'll see how that flies w/Jorge.

Remember - and this is just to encourage a little friendly competition among the VAMPS - the team member with the most minutes at the end of the month gets a 10 dollar gift card to the store of your choice (unless its Wal-Mart: I boycott them, and Target: they're not a fave of mine either, but that one's personal)

6341challenge total
Again, check the numbers b/c my eyes do something funky with all the back and forth and if you have a workout that you haven't posted, please post it and update me if you would be so kind!

Rock on my chicas!

Wahoo VAMPS!!! That's pretty incredible and a whole lotta minutes!!

Mary, my times all appear to be correct.  Thanks for keeping track for us all.

I was hoping to get a few more minutes in today, but it's my baby's first birthday, so we've got a party to prepare for!! Hope to hear from Crystal soon! Have a wonderful day everyone! Keep up the amazing work!

Happy Happy Birthday to the baby! That's an excuse to stop working out if ever there was one... Celebrate for us! One year, right? The way I see it is that children's birthdays aren't just a celebration of their growth, they also are a chance for the parents to celebrate their parenthood. Just think, a year ago, you were a new mommy to a daughter! that's amazing. blessings to your family xoxoxo! -m

We definately celebrated.  I wasn't expecting so much family to come, and my parents (who are living in Argentina right now) even got on the webcam so they could "be there" when we sang happy birthday. Chay was in heaven because she got to eat a whole cupcake and didn't get in trouble!!   Thanks for the congrats! Kids b-days are always more fun then grownups because they get so excited. (Her favorite gift was a roll of toilet paper!)

okay, i'm not even gonna ask 'bout the toilet paper... webcams are great aren't they? we did that when Brianna was born from the hospital room (not DURING labor, of course, but after when we'd all cleaned up a bit)

So glad to hear you are ok. It's no fun to get teeth pulled! Don't worry about the minutes. I don't think anyone expected you to be training after something like that! Hope you continue to feel better fast! Have a great day!

I am good, Mary, just busy with work, kids and life. I am not spending too much quality time on the computer lately. Is that really a bad thing?
Next weekend I have to fly interstate for work and I am not too sure if I can squeeze in any training. I hope I can make up for it this week.

i would say not fitting in computer time because you are dealing with kids and life is a very good thing. my ability to be on the computer now is only because i'm at work and have lots of downtime now that all my assignments are written. glad to hear from you! have a safe trip!

hey guys, hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! that is it's still a weekend if you have today off, which technically, i don't because i have work to complete for our european clients who don't give a rats a$$ about president's day.

anyway, just wanted to say hey! i know last week was tough on the challenge with chrystal's wisdom teeth surgery and some other things that got in the way of getting minutes, but if you glance at our competition, they're creeping up on us... so do everything you can to work in a workout into your day. we need to preserve our lead... i was gonna post the totals so far, but i'll wait until thursday - hope to see the vamps kick it in big time this last week - we need you to rock it!

happy training! -mary

Hello!

Sorry I have not been on line lately. It has been crazy here. I just got through our state then federal audit. Craig then surprised me and took me skiing for the weekend!!!! We made it before the avalanche!!!! Yeah! I can breath again.
It sounds like everyone has been busy. I will put all my minutes into the log. The only thing that has kept me going was knowing I did not want to let you guys down. I really like the competition! THANKS for putting it together!

By the way ladies if I loose 3 more pounds I make my mini goal of ten for the month!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!

Mary sorry you do not get today off!!!! Darn clients.....

Jenny

Happy Presidents Day everyone.

This will be an interesting week for me.  We're planning  a trip to NJ this weekend and into next week, so I need to get in my 18 miler in on one of my days off and I have to get ready for the trip (shopping and packing).  We leave Friday afternoon and I work on Wednesday, hmmmm.

Mary I also had to work today, while hubby stayed home with the boys, so you're not alone!

No long weekend for me either (we don't have a president). Back to work for me then, too.

Is anyone else finding they need a much earlier bedtime too? I am zonked out much earlier in the night that I used to be. Oh well, 'tis a good thing.

Have a good week, everyone.
