After a year of Challenges I guess it is time to step up to the plate. And I even changed my ink to bleu for the swim Challenge. Finally I get to change my avatar, I'm about sick of my body parts on the site. Chris Chris, You're officially dubbed an Elf, thanks for stepping up! |

We'll put you down for 3.6 Angstroms. I am not swimming a nanometer. I don't care what Don says. Mascot - NOT swimmer here. How about a Planck length? I can move that far just lying still. How about your marathon time (in minutes) divided by 5? If you hit 4 hrs, you'll only have to do 48 yds. What a great motivator, eh? EDIT: and btw, wading in cool water after the mary is incredible therapy for the legs. After Grandma's marathon, Lake Superior was a balmy 50 degrees. Edited by sparco 2007-11-30 2:01 PM |

On January 1st here they do a Polar Bear Dip in Lake Washington at 11am!! You should find one in your area. Great for your mind body and soul! How about your marathon time (in minutes) divided by 5? After Grandma's marathon, Lake Superior was a balmy 50 degrees. There's no way I'm jumping in any cold water, including ice water therapy. It physically hurts to put any portion of my body in cold water.

Found out pool schedules for December. I will be missing 2 major swim workouts toward the end of the month between Christmas and New Years (both about 2,900 yd workouts). Too late to revise goal to 13,000 yds? Nah not too late.... dont tell but I havent even worked out my goal yt.. ooops! |

If it is, I'll live with it, he's just been a buddy through some rough patches and I can't imagine having to compete against a friend and all..Are there penalties for the challenge if it isn't met? Please, no leg shots or full bathing suit shots...and now for something completely different (what? I don't know)
Can I still get in the challenge? And I have to be on an opposite team from Dexter....Isn't there some law that says one must compete against a sibling? If I can get in put me in for 12,000 yds. I am visiting relatives christmas week, and the pool is closed for Hanukkah! Welcome to the challenge....definatley not to late!!! Got your request about taking on your bro... think thats a great idea! |

I know it's not a lot, but for a newbie like me still getting over the anxiety of being in water, this is big. Guess it doesn't matter whose team I'm on. But the Nibbin's will always have been my first team(as I wipe my tear) |
