Things to work on I need a new unique name to stand out and give Sailing a hard time, got it.

That's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! Have you gone to the million dollar body website yet??? And I guess that's why you asked about the bands vs. bells... I think you'll have fun, because going through the videos is an endurance sport all in and of itself.

Your name is just fine... Now the 'picking on Saling' part, that's a prerequisite, but expect to defend yourself, he may be old, but he ain't dead! lol

Hi gamblin... Nice to see everything went well with the surgery. And that's fantastic about the weight. Now, if only things were going as well with me. Hhmmmf!

i146q - 2008-09-17 7:18 AM Last:??? This: Don't even ask. I'm taking advantage of downed power lines and saying that my scale is out of commission. As if my cable has anything to do with the battery in the scale...! Besides, with all the stress, I'm finding that I'm comfort eating, and my diet has taken a turn for the worse. Next wk, right???

I know that feeling.  I am sure you can get back to eating right once life returns to normal.

Well, what I'm really afraid of is that despite my eating habits as of recently, I still haven't been able to check my weight loss/gain in about 2 wks. I guess that's where most of my anxiety is.

Btw, thanx for the encouragement!

Morning skinnies!

Last week: 215
Today: 213.5
Total: -1.5

210 here I come!!! I'm still amazed that even though the scale has been yo-yoing, my clothes are fitting differently still. I put on some pants this weekend that were tight a couple of weeks ago and I'm totally swimming in them. So much so that I'm sending them to a better place...Goodwill I was fortunate enough to have a friend give me tons of clothes that she is too small for. It's sizes that I didn't think I'd be able to fit into, but I tried them on and I can. Yea for free clothes!

You're totally awesome! Great attitude!

You are so correct Comet:  What is skinny without fat, What is skinny like a rail without fat as a blob?

What is sitting on the couch without a diet pepsi (enders) and a little debbie (sherm)?

Morning skinnies...I finally got the bike rack to go on my car...I feel like I have the freedom of a 16 yr old that just got his/her license.  It took lots of time and $$$, but I can now ride without begging the dh for his truck.  My hitch was $385 and my rack was $150, so I've go alot of miles to go to justify this thing.  Now if I could just get  the dh to get that new Pinarello, I can totally get me a new bike too  Wish me luck.

Just thought I would say that I had a great run today.  In April I injured my Achilles and then when that started to mend, my PF started hurting.  I had never had problems with either of these, I think it was my old shoes.  So saturday I bought new shoes.  I ran 12 miles in them sunday, and was a little nervous because the ball of my foot started hurting and even tho, I specifically got a shoe with a wider toe box (blisters were another problem my old shoes had), I still got blisters.  I ran in them again tuesday and things were a little better...no more achilles pain and PF seems ok...ball of foot still has less support than I like...but Today's run felt nearly effortless.  I am still not as fast as I have been before, but I took 3 min. off my 10k time between tues. and today...and I barely felt winded at the end.  I mean, I did push myself, but last week I felt really knocked out...and today I just felt like I had a good run!  I feel like this was the breakthru I had been waiting for.  Hopefully from here on out I just keep getting faster with now injuries!  Just thought I would share!

Woof,  Great job on the run.  It makes it worth while on those runs that just go so well.  Might want to rethink your socks or powder your feet (body glide).

Aww heck Comet,  I never thought of that.  Wonder if that is why she wanted that Miata I got her for Christmas?  I better stay home and stop training now.  Keep an eye on her.

And Comet's just funny. I can't help it.

Good evening skinnies! I have some fantastic news!!

I recently had some blood tests...glucose, cholesterol, the whole she-bang. I had been putting it off for several months because the last time I had my cholesterol checked (3 1/2 years ago), I was very close to heart attack stage. See?

2004 results
Triglycerides: 146
HDL: 44
LDL: 164
Total: 238

This time was different

2008 results
Triglycerides: 156
HDL: 46
LDL: 114
Total: 191

I no longer have high cholesterol and my glucose is normal, too. I never believed docs when they said that exercise could lower cholesterol and now I'm a poster child for it. I made a resolution in January that this was going to be my fittest year ever. I do believe that these test results have sealed the deal for me This is almost better than losing the 35 pounds I have in the last year!
