9/26 = 142
9/29 = 143.2
10/6 = 138
10/13 = 139.2
10/21 = 137.2
11/3= 141.8
11/10 = 139.1

Total this week -2.7. I've been really trying to get past this plateau. I always seem to hover around this week and can't seem to burst through and stay there. Any ideas?

11-03-08 312lbs

11-10-08 308lbs

-4lbs.

I should be happy but this is kind of typical. I seem to huver around 305-310. I will be happy when I break through 300. I also think that the wall is holding back a flood of weight loss. Mentaly I just need to get over that wall and I will shoot down to my goal weight of 250.

But -4 is in the right dirrection.

Ugh! Someday I'll learn that doing a race doesn't mean I can eat whatever I like. Of course, I also tend to retain some water for a couple days after racing, so hopefully that's part of the weight gain.

Have a great day everyone!

-2, cutting through the plateau finally? hope so. I am solidly in the food journal camp. I have been doing it on and off for years, on I lose, off I gain. It's the only thing that can give immediate feedback on if you're being good, or slipping. I keep track of calories in, burned, and weight - and any notes to myself when i've been extra bad. I just get over it and move the next day back to the good/normal side, but don't try to compensate for being bad, just back to normal.

October 25 - 155 lbs

Ocober 27 - 152 lbs and 35% body fat

November 2 - 149 and 34% body fat

November 10 -  149 and 34% body fat

No change.  I had been down a bit during the week, but I also raced on Saturday, and also seemed to eat as though I could eat anything afterwards and seem to have killed my progress.

I am also solidly in the food journaling camp and it definitely helps me to identify patterns both good and bad.  It definitely seems to be an on going learning process, but I think it is helping me to control my hunger and make better choices overall.

The one big mystery to me is what my ideal calorie intake should be in order to meet my needs and still loose weight safely and sustainably.  Is this just trial and error, or is there a good way to come up with a useful goal?

My goals for this week are to lower my daily calorie total a bit by cutting the late night snacks that tend to be less nutritious at times, and to avoid any days of loosing discipline all together.

This week 11/10 - 193

Goal lose 10 lbs by Christmas.  Starting weight 197.5.  Gotta kick it up if I am going to make it.  The weekend was tough.  Went to a really nice restaurant.  Too much good wine and good food.  Well, I tried to stay healthy on the food.  I hope it doesn't creep in next week.  I got lucky at weigh in tonight.

Not sure if I posted last week.... I was 141.

Just got home today from 6 days away which included hanging around a hospital for hours eating bad food and drinking a lot of coffee. I'm sure I've gained.

I'll weigh in and post tomorrow morning.

Hello everyone!

I would like to join in the fun. I have to start trying on Wedding dresses in Jan and would like to have some added accountability. You would think that the idea of a wedding would motivate anyone to eat right and exercise, but I just end up over-eating due to stress. I work, go to school, Military Reserves and have a son. Planning a wedding has made me want to eat everything in sight.

161.2 today...

Weighed myself this morning expecting to be up at least a couple pounds, but I'm at 140... down 1 lb from last week.  I'm really happy with that considering I haven't done any training in over a week!!

Well, the fluctuations continue... I am back to 286lbs this week for no rhyme or reason. It is becoming more than a little frustrating. I have added swimming to my regular workouts now and it has been too long since I did that seriously, so maybe that will help.

I should be a lot lighter than I am if I am to get to my goal weight by Christmas, but I will persist and hopefully I obtain a big drop in the next week or two....

Last week: 288lbs

This week: 286lbs

Difference: -2lbs

I know your feeling. I have been bouncing off the 300lbs wall for a while. I can not wait to be down below 300.

I love your signature line. It took me a second to get it.
