SweetK - 2009-01-11 11:09 AM This thread got a little off track... time to bring it back around

GO STEELERS!! And I shall ride on my trainer for 15-20 minutes and walk on the treadmill slowly for 10 mins while watching some of today's football game

I am routing for the Steelers in their game.  I am uncertain how Ben is going to play since he had the concussion (sp?) two weeks ago.

I'll be on the trainer during one of the games.

Today I'll ride for the first half of the 1PM game...then maybe, just maybe, I'll get a run later.

My calf is still sore.  There is no babysitting at the gym due to the snow storm.  I am taking the day off.

Who ran outside in the snow today?

Snow??  You mean that dusting that is under the layer of ice?  (I bitter because we haven't had a good snow storm in a few years.  We keep getting stuck with the mix of snow/sleet/freezing rain.)

I did drive in the ice this morning to get to the pool for a swim before I settle in to watch the Eagles GIANTS win.

Fixed that for you!

UConnn basketball has started out the season with mixed results but they had a good win against Pitt the other day... Go Huskies!

BTW, is this McNabb/Reid's 5th NFC title game?  Pretty good for 2 guys who get no love from the hometown fans.

We were dangerously close to page 2 so I thought I would bump us!

What is everyone working on today?  I plan to do a speed workout on the treadmill and then some strength training.

SweetK - 2009-01-12 11:17 AM Awesome day of formal PT.. I hit 132° flexion, so close to my Normal I rode the bike at PT, only 12 minutes and went 2.86 miles. Very close to my actual on my bike for the same gear and cadence (gotta love Precor). I think I will be released to swim beginning the middle of next week

Awesome for you!  I am sure you are psyched with your progress.  Keep it up!

Hey guys!  I'm back home from Florida!  The trip and the race went wonderful.  I ran a 3:45:34 at the marathon.  That was a PR for me by > 30 minutes!  I was super stoked.  I'll let you guys know when I get the race report up.  Thanks for all the well wishes and encouragement from the group!

I spent 10 hours in court/preparing for court and 3 more in a board meeting.  The good news: I didn't eat much today.  Bad news: no workout.

Congrats to Kristen on the good PT session and Lo-Daddy for the 3:45 mara... I hope that is me in October!

So, no workout yesterday, as I had a reaction from my allergy shots.  I skipped this morning also, since my upper arm is incredibly red, puffy, and itchy.  I am hoping to get in a quality workout tonight.

I see a sports nutritionist tomorrow (Wed) morning to help with my food intake.  This appointment will cost me nothing (not even a copay!!!), as my insurance covers 6 visits/year to a registered dietician.

That's great news that you are recovering so well so fast! You are going to be back at it super soon! Bob will love all the swimming that you can do!
