Chaderbox - 2009-05-12 10:51 AM Whoa, a tarantula!  Everytime I take a shower after Mrs Chad, and there's a huge hairball in the drain, I run screaming out of the bathroom that there's a tarantula in there.  I figure if I keep doing it enough, she'll eventually think it's funny.

Good idea... keep it up, she's bound to appreciate it sooner or later.

We live in such an incredibly insecure society. As long as you practice good hygiene, brush your teeth, take care of yourself and don't let yourself blow up to 400#, who cares about what you look like or what flaws (physical) you may have as a person?

I care.  I want to look the best I possibly can at all times.  And I do that for myself.

I'm gonna agree with Dan here (yes, Hell is freezing over as we speak). I care about how I present myself. And it has nothing to do with my being affluent (cuz I'm not) or it being all about "me, me, me" (cuz it's not). You can do stuff for yourself without being selfish, if that makes any sense.

i think there is a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEE difference between wanting to look good and obsessing over looking good.  i dress nice, wear makeup and do my hair every day, but i don't obsess over my goggle lines on swimming days or complain that i don't have the best of everything.

ooh i need to touch up my hair color, gotta go call heidi.

But this: wanting to look good vs. this: obsessing over looking good is a judgment call.  I've been trying to get better about not judging other people.

Ain't decided yet. I need to go home and string a racquet for this weekend (I have 4 more to string before Friday), but I might push that off until tonight and go have lunch w/ my work peoples.

Not sure. I'm not excited by food lately - getting really sick of eating the same things over and over. Lunch today will probably be yogurt and various veggies - just doesn't sound appealing right now.

In my mind, that does not sound like a "yummeh" b-fast. Yes on the yogurt... tis good. With green beans however... I would pass.
