Artemis - 2009-12-11 10:38 AM Morning Nibbs!  Just found out that I'm going to be one of 6 grad students from my university presenting my research to state officials in February.  Very exciting but also kind of scary!!

Very cool news!!  Congrats on such an honor!

kns57 - 2009-12-11 9:29 AM Good morning Nibbs.  I see there has been a lot of talk about having a custom rank.  I too have been offered a chance to customize my ranking.  Was leaning towards somthing dealing with storytelling or librarianship.  Not sure.

Spice it up a little, Kendra!

Hi, NIBBS!

Why is the American language so hard to learn?  Twice? (reference - 2nd boy learning improper nous, their plural, and possessive form)  Remembering all those dang rules hurts one's brain, I swear.

did I give you the 2 hardcover books on learning nouns and and adjectives?  If not I need to find them and send them to you.  They were really silly and fun.

From what I remember of all those fantastic books that you sent (MANY, MANY THANKS AGAIN!), I don't believe I received those.  If you do that, then I'll have to setup another bank account and start socking away money into that account so that I can be ready to owe you a dinner for payback.

The internet has some stuff out there.  Part of this is that J-man doesn't take good notes and there are no instructional sheets coming home, so I don't know what pneumonics and such he's learning.  Very frustrating.

Thanks!  Like I said, I'm nervous.  Never done a poster talk before.  It will be a lot to get ready once I come back from Christmas.  But, I'll finally get one of those giant science papers.

Are there actually instructional sheets given out in class? If so, can you ask the teacher to send you a packet of them? Plus, if you have them ahead of time, you can actually help prepare him for class...

Don't know if she does.  The thing is, J-man is one of the top kids academically and gets the extra challenge stuff, too.  He does bring home the homework (only 5th grade), and works on it, and I usually correct stuff, but would like to know if there is a "standard" they're using instead of me applying what I know.

You hit that age, haven't ya, where all body mechanics start to go south, didn't ya?  My eyes have progressively gotten loopy during the last couple of years.  I blamed it on the newspapers for changing their page width size and smaller font.  They did, but that's not the only thing that changed, too.

Hm. Maybe that's it. Everyone is changing their font size on me. Yeah, that's it.

No, huh? LOL
