Just checked the challenge stats again.  The bEASTies have pulled ahead on goal 1 but we still have them on 2-4.  Overall we still have the lead but it has shrunk from 3% to just over 1%. If there's a goal that you're not 105%, then let's see if we can get out there and get some extra workouts done to help hedge our lead a little.

_____bEASTies - Twisters
goal 1 - 76.8% - 74.4% Frown
goal 2 - 73.2% - 75.9% Smile
goal 3 - 65.3% - 71.4% Smile
goal 4 - 74.1% - 83.3% Smile
Overall - 72.9% - 74.2% Surprised

I did not get that swim done.  We had a bit of a crisis at the in-law's ranch.  The in-laws are out of town so sis-in-law is in charge of taking care of the goats who are beginning to have their babies.  This morning, she found one dead baby and one baby in serious jeopardy because it's mama rejected it.  She took the baby home and got milk from the farm store and fed her all day.  "Alice" is doing good now.  This evening, another mama rejected her newborn twins.  We did everything we could to get her to take them, but it wasn't happening.  Sis-in-law now has three furry kids to take care of tonight!  I feel bad that we didn't take the twins.  My husband is running a 15K race tomorrow so we will be gone.  I think we will be on goat duty tomorrow night.  There is only one more pregnant goat left.  Hopefully she accepts her babies!

Owl avatar needs to be replaced with a goat!

I am over my bike goal today plus I will probably do one more ride.  I only have one more run to do and that will make that that goal complete.  My swim goal is two more sessions.  I know I can get one in, I will try for that 2nd one!

wgraves7582 - 2010-03-27 7:21 PM Howdy TWISTER's - got 109+ on the bike - a road was closed on my route (well more than that but I will update tomorrow or Monday I am wiped) so I cut it short.

1 lesson learned - NO CHOCOLATE MILK DURING THE RIDE - ONLY AFTER!

Yeah, I've heard chocolate can have some nasty after effects. Hope it worked out ok.

I had a little extra time so I went and got a swim workout in this evening which makes 100%.  Should be able to get one more in before the end of the month. This has been a good month for the challenge for me, especially with my son's health issues that threw off my schedule. I'm ecstatic that not only is he doing better but I was able to get back on track and should be at least 100% on all my goals for the month.

I checked the spreadsheet before I signed off for the evening.  We are just barely ahead.  The bEASTies are at 74.0% overall and we are at 74.9%.  I hope everyone is remembering to update the spreadsheet.

Hey Everyone!
Just wanted to let you know I will be out of the chatting with the team for a bit probably - just not feeling it right now. Yesterday we lost our 9.5 month old puppy Jake. He was hit by a car and died in my hubbies arms within 10 min. We are lost right now. No workout yesterday but I will see what I can do to get it in today and the rest of the days. Right now it is just hard for us. I know some people might just say he was a dog but he was so so so much more for us.

I will try to get the workouts in though so I don't let the team down. If I am not as talkative (like I ever was) I am sorry.

Just finished my own mini-triathlon

8.22 mile run (1:25:18), 2000m swim (0:47:47), softball game (1:00:00 - lost 17-12)

Total time including transitions was about 4:20:00

T1 (run to swim) ~10 min
T2 (swim to quick shower, change clothes, stop off at 7-11, and drive to softball game) ~ 30 min.

I need to work on getting T2 down...LOL

That is very hard, Stacie.  Our animals can make such a huge place in our lives for themselves.  You take care during this rough time.

Got a slow bike, 1.5 mile run and a good stretch in today. I am at 100% in 3 goals - with only 5 miles left on the primary run goal. I should be able to do this.

Thanks everyone! We are doing better - there are things that still trigger it but we know it will get better with time.

I see a bunch of people are in for the April challenge...it should be an exciting month for me...so long as my body cooperates, my volume is going to be really high as I ramp up for my Olympic in May.

I'm already thinking

Swim - 35,000 yds (march goal 30,000 yds)
Bike - 400 miles (march goal 300 miles)
Run - 80 miles (march goal 100 miles)
ST - 8 sessions

I'm going to cut back my running to help allow for better recovery for the swim and bike.
