I hadn't even considered the thyroid factor. Excellent point..... I know that my meds need adjusting, too. (I need to find a local Dr. who handles thyroid issues. I never did that after the move.) I've been tired all the time -- and even light exercise makes me MORE tired, which is an indicator that the med dosage is off. (Again.) Stupid thyroid. D001 - 2010-07-11 1:47 PM I am doing fine with all my goals EXCEPT the weight loss one. I've never had 'weight loss' as a goal before. And all I put down was 3 lbs. BUT IT'S NOT HAPPENING. The scale goes down one day, and up the next. For everyone who lost significant amounts of weight -- Congratulations! You obviously worked hard to lose it. It's tough. You never know with your thyroid if it's going to cooperate or not. I stopped having short term weight loss goals because I couldn't make them. Yeah, that's probably the issue. I've been really drained by workouts lately, but I went up about 2 months ago and I'm still waiting for the results of my most recent blood test. |

Eh. I don't want a hot tub. I want a pool in my backyard. Of course, if I get the pool, add jets and heat it enough - then I can get the pool AND the hot tub. ![]() |

Expert![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() daisy2908 - 2010-07-10 9:31 PM So... I'm signed up for the Aspen 1/2 Marathon in September. I did it 2 years ago, pre-baby, pre-broken kankle and it was hard. You run from Snowmass UP A FREAKING SKI SLOPE and hang out around 10k elevation then descend into Aspen. It BEAUTIFUL; prettiest race I've ever done. And great raffle afterwards... anyway, my point is that I can't run 3 miles right now without it being so. hard. Monday I'm supposed to start a 10 week program. Can you all help keep me motivated to follow it? It calls for 3 days a week of running. 1 track workout, 1 tempo and a long, slow run on the weekend. I jogged 3 miles this morning, pushing the baby and it was all right. My longest run since I broke my kankle last November was a 10k I ran on Mother's Day. Pushed Miles in the stroller the whole time too; that was a good confidence boost. I just need to be consistent, right? Three words... DEE... HAS... TASERS! |

But when it comes to updating the spreadsheet, I'm a SLACKER! |

Expert![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I did the impossible... I got a monday morning workout in! WOOT! Alarm went off and there was a lengthy internal conversation and I actually started dozing off again. But then our cat jumped up on my chest and I knew she was saying to me "GTFU and exercise... oh... and clean my litterbox while you're down there!" 45 minute drainer ride. My long bike ride this weekend was scrapped in lieu of some much overdue yardwork and other stuff on the honey-do list. Swimming at lunchtime. Hope everyone had a great weekend! |

Elite![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() My son was very nice Saturday. He came home early from hanging out with friends so I could go swimming before the pool closed. I got over to the pool and they closed the outdoor pools and basketball court for a private party Saturday. I was still able to swim inside but it was very crowded and noisy and some kid just wouldn't stay out of the one lap lane they had open. I still got to swim though so I can't complain too much. |

Pretty sad that I'm slowly dropping to the bottom of the list of slackers. I shouldn't be on there at all. However, this was before I added Saturday's workout to the list so I would have been a little higher in the slacker list if I had added it when I should. So my goal for this week if to get in enough workouts to move up to the top section of the slacker list. |
