I had a friend who had the opportunity to sail around the world. Renetry to the "real" world was really hard. I don't think it is how long you are off the grid, I think it is being off the grid that is hard. What made it for him was his family. Hope tomorrow isn't too hard for you Bill. |

I started out with a run but then went to chores and toting the hose around. My job is setting the alarm and moving the water from tree to tree. Thank goodness the water is from a stream up the road. A well would be dry by now. I am also packing up to go to the Highland Games on Wednesday. Sigh, Men in Kilts... Later this evening we are being picked up at the lake to go out for dinner on the lake. Nice. Other peoples food on the lake. Have fun all! Men in Kilts? Really? Haha...1/2 of my blood is Scottish and I do not concur.  Obviously you have never seen the correct men in the correct kiltz. I will take photos for you to help out your education! I dunno...(I am probably a traitor to my heritage here...), but I have seen many a men in many a kilt...Just doesn't do it for me...haha... |

I already got my run in this morning. It was 75 and humid at 4:00 this morning. I have a running question for you guru's. I did a 5 mile fartlek this morning. The last 1.5 miles my legs were screaming at me, I ran them hard. I would run hard, then walk a little, then run hard again. Is the walking ok, or should I have tried to keep running at an easy pace? |

Unbelievable to many but I ate every chance I could  Umm - I am still trying to decide how I feel! To be determined. Gaining weight on a trip like that is NOT a bad thing at all. That means that you were taking care of yourself. You may have gained a little bit of muscle as well. |

I just realized (at a license check- oops) that my drivers license is expired. The officer was kind and told me I didn't look like either a criminal OR 50 years old! Gotta get it today before going to the Games. I still need to pack and water trees and get a ride in and laundry and, oh ya, I was supposed to work. I am taking the afternoon off to get the rest done. Bill, Be patient with those you left behind. Freedom is an amazing thing and does amazing things to your head. Maybe we can all find sponsors so we can do what we want all the time. Ghoulie sponsors. I don't need much per month. $2000 would be fine. Speaking of weight gain/loss. Since getting the thyroid medication 6 days ago, I have lost 3 pounds. I KNEW there was something wrong. I still am not at 100 % of energy though, I still get exhausted by the end of the day but I feel more like the old me. This is good stuff! Ann, hope you figure out your leg stuff. Maybe too much, too soon. (Sorta like Melindy!!!!). I'll try to check in tomorrow am or later this evening. |

Well given that I can get in on July 26, I am DEFINATELY doing IMLP. 100% certain. My snazzy med school credit card is ready to be used...and used good. (No, I do not feel bad as people went to Europe, SA and Asia on their med school credit cards this summer and will probably go somewhere next summer too)...My mom about 2 years ago would say this is a bad attitude to have...Now she doesn't say anything...haha. I feel that this means she approves (a little bit?) haha...That and the doctors that she works with told her to chill out. Cheers to the doctors that work with my Mom!!! :D glad you can do it melindy since I can not do IMLP...but will be at MOO! |
