pdbman - 2010-07-09 12:16 PM OK. So this is where the one thought posted on multiple threads comes into play so if you read this on the non Tdf thread you can just skip this.

So I'm wondering why I'm living where I live. Its an OK neighborhood. It seems to be going downhill a little over the last few years. We're thinking about moving. And today even more than ever.

My wife is a catalog coordinator and they are working on their Christmas catalog. They found its quicker and easier if they rent a nice house for a week and set up the shots and do their photo shoot in the house and everyone can stay there. So for the next week we are staying in this nice luxurious house at one of the ski resorts in Park City. In fact it is on the slope right next to one of the ski runs. Very nice (the master suite is bigger than one floor of my house). Well, the commute to work from Park City is the exact same drive time as it is driving from my house. Why do I live where I do? Granted, the house in Park City costs ten times what my house does, but I wouldn't have to live at the ski resort. I could go for something a little smaller. There is one for sale down the street that is 1200 sq ft smaller and is going for only 1.5 million.

Did you just volunteer to be the team sugar daddy?

WHAT? WE HAVE A TEAM SUGAR DADDY???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YAY! TdF in 2011 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm off to pack my bags.

Got 2 stages done today...the reason it is 2 stages:

Started first ride--about 50km into it I had this really intense cramp in the middle of my chest. I'm thinking some sort of esophageal spasm or other weird GI thing. It waned a bit but was bothering me with breathing. So I turned around and ended up cutting it short after about 65km. I layed down for a bit and did some other stuff and set out on bike # 2 after dinner to make up the rest of the mileage. I'm separating it into 2. Haha.

Where you breathing hard when it happened? Diaphram cramp maybe?

Found an article about it online:

Hot, hot, Hot ride is the polite thing to say....Jen and I had a good ride pre riding most of the Rocket's Landing course.  If I survive the swim that bike will be a blast!

The guys at the firehouse Station 4 let us refill our water bottles.  Guess that beats scraping our burrs off the road later on!

No...wasn't breathing hard. HR was only around 130, probably less actually at that point. Probably something like that though. Either diaphragm or esophageal. It was quite midline though and radiated back into my back, which is why I think esophageal. Was a tad bit nauseous too.

Who knows? It went away though, so I won't worry about it unless it happens again.

I thought you and the swim had come to an agreement?

I'll be doing my next ride settled in front of the TV tonight, watching Bob and Craig. (Craig...... *sigh* Maybe someday someone will buy him a muzzle.....)

Do you ever get heart burn?  That sometimes happens to me if I'm having reflux problems.

Nope. No heart burn ever. I have never really had any GI issues.

Umm. last season we had a good thing going.  This season since I have fought the asthma flare my OWS time has been severely limited and I am not as sure of myself in it yet.  Last time I tried I felt like I had a heavy weight across my upper back.  I wanted to go to tri club OWS practice and well.....it's a long story in my blog.  Suffice it to say that after 5 years I still don't know my way around Richmond and when the bridge I usually cross to get there was closed I was not able to re route to get there on time.

Asthma sux. Yeah, that would complicate things.

When I tried running wogging with it the other day, I felt like I was breathing through a straw. And I know your flare was a lot worse than mine.

pdbman - 2010-07-09 6:29 PM Just went to the vending machine to get something since I shopped my way through lunch. They raised the prices so now I'm .10 short.

They raised our prices to $1.50.  I am unhappy about this.

$1.50 is way too much for something I shouldn't be eating anyway. We're lucky we have a convenience store across the street. Its pretty sad but they are cheaper, they take credit cards when I'm a little short on cash, and they do have some things that are a little better (slightly more nutritious) than what is in the vending machines.

Agreed.  I don't have that option, so I'm not drinking soda at work anymore. Not really a loss for me.

I'm not even going to try and catch up on all the pages of Dee's conversations with herself while I was away.  I just hope that they were some good ones.

It's all exercise bikes for me at the gym until next weekend.    My outside tour ended on Thursday when the bike shop called to tell me that my bike's front fork had been recalled.  They also strongly urged me to not ride it at all until it was fixed.  Seeing as I'm not the lightest of triathletes, I followed their advice and dropped Tempy off on Saturday.  She's there until I get her next Saturday.

Back to the TDF - can't we just win something, just once, other ?than ugliest kit???

Tempy??? Sux about the bike. Better safe than sorry though.

Yeah, I talk to myself. I also carry a taser. So now there are two reasons why people avoid me.

Would you rather have this kit:
