CLP for me - although might have to make this another warm beer as no coors light here in NZ... Will try and not make it a whale ball beer either..!

Harbour outside my work is flat as a pancake and I had planned to jump in, but left my wetsuit at home in the rush to catch the train this morning, so, crappy excuse really, hence the CLP.

To make matters worse, was given a late xmas present from a buddy at work which reminded me of the warm beer coming my way - some bodyglide!

Back into action tomorrow!!

I run outside down to 30 normally unless its raining. Did my 3 today last run till my HM Sunday. I may not be able to post much as I will be in the parks with my wife when not running the race. I will upload some pictures and a race report when I get a chance.

Feeling a little under the weather, but I made it to the pool last night. Second time at the pool that day as I took my daughter to the family swim earlier in the day. She really loves the pool and I am hoping she grows up loving water like her dear ol'dad.

Did some easy drills last night, hardest effort was a 5x50m set. starting on the minute every minute, first 50 done in 45s, second, 49s, third 53s, 4th 55s, 5th was 59s! Kept them all under a minute but I have defininitely lost speed. I know that is does come back pretty quickly in the water if you can do 2-3 swims per week. Looking forward to getting that speed back.

Nice job on the swimming! If Daddy is having fun swimming then your daughter will too! Great job leading by example! Just don't make her a leafs fan!

Well went for a spin this morning. Got home and my 12 yr old son had made me scrambled eggs! He is taking home ec. in school and they are the breakfast unit. It was a great way to start the day! For my weigh in today I was still the same....of course that was after I had breakfast, coffees, and water. Hopefully next weigh in will be a big loss! "Weak"ends seem to be the toughest for me...gotta stay on track this weekend or a FBP for me...(Fruit beer penalty)

Hmm- now I want scrambled eggs for lunch! Does your son want to come to Colorado?

I took my rest day pretty seriously yesterday with an hour in the hot tub and a PBR

A PBR counts as two warm Coors Life's. I don't understand why hipsters drink that crap???

Sounds like everyone is getting into it. Nice job all!

Swam today. Run tomorrow, outside. Bike Sat....possibly outside!! (I don't have good winter gear)

Thurs morning weigh in (before breakfast): 141.6

Hey fruit beer haters,

What's up with that?

I think I had better brew up my Black Currant Saison, and Raspberry Wheat. I'll ship everyone that wants one a bottle of each in time for summer (N.America).

Sound good? :D

I am in! Hater is such a strong word. I have had some decent raspberry ones. It is more the fact that I find good tasting fruit beers few and far between....

Good job on the weight loss!

Unless it includes hockey, I don't think my son  will show up...Next up, he wants to make cinnamon bun type biscuits...gotta love it! You always get a little leeway on the beer(as long as ice cold) if you are drinking in a hot tub...assuming it is at home as most rec centers frown upon drinking beer in hot tubs??

I've got a bit of catching up to do but life has thrown me a bit of a curveball.

Woke up over the weekend with a pain behind one eye. By Sunday I thought I had a spot in that eye, by Monday my vision was clearly impaired. I've seen specialists, have been diagnosed with uveitis, am on massive quantities of prednisone, and now (Thursday) it has progressed to severe vision loss. Still hoping for improvement but it's not happening yet. I'm just counting my blessings and keeping fingers crossed it stays in one eye.

Fortunately I am still able to exercise, otherwise I suspect I would probably go crazy. Running and walking a LOT...I will need to get comfortable with the bike I think, but my goal is to get there over the next few days.

I may need some encouragement over the next few days...especially in about a month when the prednisone starts to taper off and I crash a bit. At least now I've got a bit of 'roid energy.

Sandi--so sorry to hear about your issue! Heal up quickly! That Presnisone is no joke. I've been in it a few times and it makes me crazy--hungry, antsy, b!tchy.

Getaway day for me!! Meetings over and I'm on my way home. Flight is already delayed 30 min--ugh. I managed workouts 17 & 18/400 with an hour on the stationary bike and about hour walk through the airport while I lugged my briefcase. Can't wait to get home!

fruit beer is not always my fav, but I can appreciate a good one so I'm in. I'll send you a pumpkin beer (my own recipe but pumpkin has to be in season) in return.

Sandi- prayers will be sent your way.

thx for the well wishes. I'm running Star Wars at Disneyland. Meeting up with Mark for a beer (although he will have much more bling than
I will)

I hope you see improvement on the medications! I'm glad you can still workout- always a good way to burn off stress and frustration.

I have never heard of Uveitis in Humans before this- it's somewhat common in horses- I actually just had the vet out to check my horse's eyes with that as the major concern (luckily it was only a clogged tear duct- but the process for clearing that in a horse is super gross.) Is it painful?

Have you tried benching just to see how much you can lift with the roids?
