Bwahahahah. Hilarious.
We need more participation from people named Jeff in here.
Bought an Adamo Prologue last night. Finally going to give my nether regions a break from this stock saddle. |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Great racing this past weekend everyone! (Jen, just wait until you finish your IM! It wasn't even midnight before I was trying to decide which one I wanted to do next. Even though I couldn't stand on my blistered feet, and felt like crap! Ha!) Scott - let me know how you like your new saddle. I'm thinking of getting an adamo as well. I just can't get comfortable on my bike anymore, so I don't ride it. Hoping a new seat will help. I'm back in Georgia, got it last night, but heading to West Palm Beach this afternoon. Oh, and Kelly - Tom saw your post on Facebook about Poconos. He thinks I should sign up! (One of these days I'm going to sign him up for something.) |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Good Morning!! Yesterday was a much needed day off. Up early this morning I was in the Lake by 5:50 the sun was just coming up and the air temp was 40 degress good thing the water temp is still 70ish. swa 1300 yards. I only have 3 more OWS before my last Tri of the season Yippee.!! Pocono's I have thought about that race but I need to stay focused on USMC even though I am more drawn to tri's then just runing but this block of run focus has sped me up ALOT!! In the process of closing on a new to us home. So I have been dealing with banks and contractors its been crazy!! |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Silly newbie question - Is it possible to do a HIM without using gels or sports drink? I really can not stomach them and never use them. The only sport supplement my stomach can handle is Hammer Perpetuem. |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I can finally walk up and down the stairs without wincing! Yay! I actually think I am going to go on a brief recovery ride or do a short recovery run tomorrow. I think it would help to get the blood flowing again in my legs. I checked out pilates classes in my area, and wowza, those are expensive! I think I'll just stick to weights. I love, love, love the 70.3 distance, and I am regretting the fact that I signed up for the full IM. I think I would have been happier with 2 70.3s for next season. What's done is done, so I better wrap my head around what I have facing me next year. Lots of time before then. Back to potty training my last child. It's not going well thus far. |

If it's hot, you need some sort of electrolyte replacement. |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Hey everyone! Great job on the races this last weekend! Sorry I have been out of it. Family bug going around and then having to deal with extended family issues has drained me to the point of not even having the desire or energy to workout. I hope I get out of this funk soon. Glad everyone is doing well. |

I think I would have been happier with 2 70.3s for next season. What's done is done, so I better wrap my head around what I have facing me next year. Lots of time before then. That's my thing. I want to truly race the 70.3 first. My first HIM my average HR was 147 on the bike and 160 on the run. Second on it was 158 on the bike and 166 on the run. So now I know I can hold that type of intensity for 5 hours. More volume and getting faster along the way I want to crush one next year. I was looking at my Olympic results from last year. In both bikes I averaged 1.3 MPH more than my best Olympic bike. My worst HIM run of the two I was still 11 sec/mile faster than my best Olympic and my better HIM run was 50 sec/mile better than my best Olympic run. So I'm really looking forward to next year with having a year of this volume under my belt. Other goal is improve my core which after doing work on it the last two days is definitely a limiter. jarvy01 - 2012-09-11 10:23 AM Back to potty training my last child. It's not going well thus far. Going in the wetsuit they know from birth but how old do you start them going on the bike? |

I really can not stomach them and never use them. The only sport supplement my stomach can handle is Hammer Perpetuem. If you can handle Perpetuem, there are definately other sports drinks you can handle. Perpetuem has protein and is pretty heavy as far as sports drinks are concerned. If you're going to do Eagleman, I think it may be time to re-visit (or visit for the first time) Ironman Perform, which I believe is the course drink. |

There is tons of improvement to be made at the 70.3 distance, particularly on the run. IM brand is smart by not allowing refunds, because I would have requested my $700 back by now. LOL |

I am looking forward to next year knowing what I have put in the tank for IM LP and USMC with that mileage base and a 70.3 focus for 2013. I can drop voulume and add intestity to see bigger gains in 2013 before a 2014 adventure back to IM distance |

That time line of June 8 works good into your IM tarining as you can RACE that 70.3 and then recovery and build again for IM you will be fine. AActually i never did a 70.3 before Placid I did 2 sprint races and that was it. There is a big difference in Racing a 70.3 and finishing a IM. The Efforts are none in the same. As far as my house I sold mine in 2 days we were blessed!! Now wating on both closing and I have to do a kitchen and 2 bathrooms before we can move into the new to us house. |
