Ok everyone get up and going. It hump day and I am doing my humpty dance as I type. I dropped off my bike the other day and I say a bike on sale. My size and all. It has been discounted by 1500. I would look so fast on that bike. I am having bike envy today.

I'll openly admit that during just about every race, and definitely multiple times in each HIM, when the going was getting a little rough I'd sing a little BT to distract me.  More than anything it made me laugh & stop taking myself to seriosuly, and I totally forgot about any pain I was feeling.

Newtons1st - 2009-11-10 6:01 PM I am so excited about hear this report. I just know that it was super tough and around mile 17-18 you were feeling tired and your mind was wondering and you were not sure how the rest of the run would unfold. Then you thought "What would Todd be signing in his head?" and BAM!!! It hit you. BT Baby.

Racing on the thunder and rising with the heat
It's gonna take a Superman to sweep me off my feet

Then you were like "hells yeah I am going to be an Ironman and nothing is going to stop me." And you raced on to the finsih.   Well maybe sorta like that.

If you're really hating yourself this offseason, may I suggest the 200 squat challenge.  Personally you coudn't pay me to do this, but I'd love to see someone else take a crack at it

It was very non-user-friendly to copy & paste, I may end up starting over too... when I have more time.

three sensors are out on my son's car... 2 crank sensors & 1 ignition sensor... so after a $273 fuel pump, I get to drop another $1066... Not a happy camper! But we have to have his car working, with his work and school schedule.  Obviously my IM vacation is a O-ver!  Welcome back to reality!

The plan was in place to do 3 70.3's even before IM.  I added the Ironstar, but that is not a certain thing yet.  Jen & I are gonna both do CB&I.  That will be the first race I will do for a second time.  I may add one or two more races in there... Jen wants to do Try Andy's again too.

I am going to be using November and December to spend a lot of time in the gym ~ concentrating on upper body, core and legs.  I WILL break 5 hrs on a HIM!  I will be leaner and faster next season.   I will be adopting much more of EvD's approach to training.  Much more condusive to my work/life schedule.

Thank you everyone. I do get to move up an AG next year. Yeah. So yeah EvD method of training = be super fast? I like it. Way to be the money bags for the son justin. Every good kid needs one. Sorry for the pita about fixin' the car. Justin I know how to get two of use to do longhorn with you. Get one of the not to be named ladies to do it. I have a standing commitment that if she does A half I do it.

Happy Friday kids!!!  My motivation may be back but my logs are still pretty pathetic looking.  Social life has been taking over a bit lately, and I've been more than happy to run with it   I'm going out tonight, and headed out of town tomorrow for a baby shower & girls weekend so workouts are pretty unlikely the next couple days.  Have a great weekend all

Had a good birthday. The wife got me some 1 on 1 swim lessons. Plus she actually didn't get me cake which is what I asked her not to get me. I ended up doing no training yesterday and slacked off some this week. Will get a good hr bike test in tonight. Long run Saturday. Then a good bike on Sunday and be all back to the normal training week. Any big plans for anyone this weekend.

I may try to squeeze in some form of exercise this weekend (run or bike)... We have a couples baby shower to attend on Saturday [don't you see the JOY on my face!!!]  Then a Mutts against MS walk on Sunday.... taking 2 of the mini's out for a walk with friends.

That's about it as far as plans go!  This is gonna be a weekend to chill with the family, watch some football, and yes ~ DRINK a beer or three!

Y'all have a great weekend!

How funny, the shower I'm going to tomorrow is also a couple baby shower!  I've never heard of anyone doing this until my friend decided to go this route.  I've heard of/been to couples wedding showers which seems more reasonable.  Sorry Justin!!  I don't really love going to these things, so I can only imagine how guys must feel.

I am with Kelli on this one.  I've never heard of a couples baby shower - wedding shower yes.  Yikes!  You guys have fun!

Glad you had a good bday Todd.

Well, I'm still planning on running the SA 1/2; although, I am not expecting a PR.  I'm doing good to breath out of my nose right now!

Happy Monday! (is that possible?)

How'd the RnR 13.1 go BvD?  I hope you had a great run!  Was it a little warm for that distance?

Well, I survived the unique experience that was a 'couples baby shower'.  It was really just a 'get together' with baby gifts.  No baby shower games & such.  Bar-b-q brisket, beer, good friends and lots-o-gifts.

Caught 2012 at the theater afterwards with my son.  Entertaining...but a little on the long side.

Sunday, we did the 3 mile MS walk with our wiener dogs... that's the only exercise (and I use that term loosely) that I managed to muster for myself.  Feeling the lack of activity for sure ~ stiff, aches & pains...etc.  Hit the grocery store yesterday, and I am reclaiming my cleaner nutrition starting today!  DEFINITELY hitting the gym tomorrow!     Here's to great week y'all! *cheers*

Thanks for all the well wishes yesterday.  I thought about you guys during the race...especially at miles 11 and 12.  It was fun but no PR.    More details to come in my RR.  Oh and yes a little too warm for my liking and 90% humidity!

Glad you enjoyed the party Justin and you were able to spend quality time with the fam.  That's important.

Happy Monday! Sounds like you had a fun filled weekend.

Enjoy that time off SBR, you've earned it! I've been slacking recently if ya haven't noticed This week I'm hoping to make all of my workouts for the first time since the race of course there is no real long bike/run as before but need to get something in.

BvD congrats on the race. Lookig forward to the RR. You will get a few days but after that I will bust out the whip. I like the other guys here slacked off last weekend. Had a good weekend though. Got to play golf and drink some beers. I need to get it back on track this week or I will hate to see my fitness shrink.

Aside from Betsy, who put in a nice little run yesterday looks like we've been slackers all around.  I had a really great weekend!  Had a girls' weekend with some of my closest friends from home who I haven't seen in way too long, and came back to NYC for a nice night with my new guy
