I would love to do something like that one day. I finally found a cyclist and a runner for a tri relay for next summer. They're interested in Cleveland olympic downtown. Both are dudes, so it would be co-ed. It will be so nice to redline the swim without having to huff and puff my way to my bike |

Pro ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() jarvy01 - 2012-09-18 6:45 AM Anyone else starting to plan their schedule for next season? Right now I'm paid up for Texas 70.3 and IMTX. Think I'm going to see how I feel after IMTX and take stock on what's left of the season. I'd like to do a half next fall, ideally Rev3 in SC or Miami Man in FL but my guess is I end up back at Oilman or Austin 70.3 |

Difficult because I'd like to move my races further apart. I did 6/16 and 9/9. Problem is that's going to involve more travel on at least one end and moves into the spring or fall sports schedule for the kids. You already have your A race booked so the rest is gravy! |

Yes, and because my A race was $700 and hotel/travel costs will be very high, it means no travel for any other races. Local, cheap races for the rest of the season, which limits my options a bit. I'm not going to complain, as my A race is going to be at a beautiful location. |

You could do Rev 3. You'd probably be trashed because its really soon after IM Tahoe, but you could do it. |

Generally I find that having A races as far apart as possible is the best bet. Gives you time to rest post-race and then build back up for the second race. |

I was looking at maybe doing Eagleman in May or REV3 Maryland in October and staying local for the second event but both have scheduling complications. I also had the bright idea of trying to swing HIM San Juan in March and billing it as a family vacation knowing the reaction will be more than the standard eye roll. |

Some of you Yanks who were tossing your cookies all over the sidewalks at IMTX might take note of that strategy. |

Before doing San Juan 2 years ago, Cait Snow did trainer rides in the sauna in Massachusetts to simulate Puerto Rico. WOW! That's great info. We have a finished basement and generally leave the heat at 64 because even if the kids are down there they're running around. The thermostat is right by my head where I ride and my power meter has a thermostat as well. Even on the coldest winter days the room temp goes up into the 70's after a 2.5-3.5 hour ride. |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() well I'm down for the count. Messed up my back on Monday (playing golf of all things). Saw my doctor on Tuesday and she prescribed some muscle relaxants, anti-inflammatories, and physical therapy. I have my first PT appointment today, so we'll see what they say. I'm betting no running for sure, probably no cycling for a bit, but MAYBE a little swimming in a week or so? I couldn't even put my own socks and shoes on yesterday (and may not be able to today either). |
