Judi & I are both doing it and are thinking of going out afterwards...you could always meet us at the finish if you don't want to run.

I don't mind running it.  I didn't know anyone else who was running it and my husband doesn't want to.  I can be convinced to do it.  Going out after is enough convincing for me.

We are always here to corrupt, er I mean, encourage. I mean - why run 6 miles if there isn't an adult beverage involved...oh, wait - I guess not so many places serve alcohol at 10 in the morning. Let's try again - why run 6 miles if there isn't something carb heavy involved?

It'll be fun!!!!

Although the pic Beth posted says "Real Peanut Butter" - I stand corrected...but I'm pretty sure the generic version I had was only Quasi Peanut Butter...

I just heard from my Mum - she has sent some legal stuff to my Dad to start divorce preceedings... (or however it works)

He doesnt know about it yet (but I doubt he will be surprised since its been years since he lived in the same country as her - his choice) and I havent heard from him for about 18 months...

Not sure what I think of it all... I do think its good my Mum is getting her act together but it feels weird!

Forever but we moved back to NZ in 1998 and not long after we moved back he decided he wanted to move back to Asia.. of course i was in my final year of high school so really needed to stay....

So... my Dad left and has lived over there ever since... weve got together for the usual family stuff, mine and my brothers 21sts and university graduations but thats about it... so I suppose its just been a long time coming....

Its weird as my Dads family (brothers, sister) are all very close.... oh well... its all just a bit weird!

Morning Nibbs!

wow, i'm the first one - that NEVER happens - LOL

Now that you are on the east coast, it may happen more frequently, but Sal is often the first and he's not on east coast time. He just usually gets up at ungodly hours.

Sorry to hear, happy to hear. My parents got divorced when I was in my late 20's, also after 30 years of marriage. It felt weird as well - my dad was weekend-commuting between home and where his job was, so he wasn't completely out of the pic - I was out of the house, so I don't know how things were. But yes, it was weird. Now it's just a pain to try to coordinate 3 sets of parents for holidays, etc.
