I'm starting tomorrow as well.  I am also adding a pullup challenge to it.  The goal is to do everything the pushup challenge calls for but quatered.  So, 25 straight pullups.  Yikes!

We were on week 3 and took a break during the holidays. Starting back tonight. I'm up for a 100 pushup accountability group if anyone else is!

Great program. We've made a lot of progress quickly.

Hey All!  I'm back from vacation and didn't do a single push up but we had a great time!

Kat ~ that's awesome that you made it to week 6...I will be doing my assessment in the next few days to see where I will be starting AGAIN!

Bob ~ I'm glad you're back...I've missed you around these parts!  Are you still doing the pullups?  Are you staying peachy also?  (maybe I should catch up on your blog, huh?!) That will put us together in 3 diff challenges this month!

Welcome to all the newcomers!!!

I did my initial assessment yesterday which is a good thing.  It was the only time other than breakfast, lunch and dinner that I left the couch.  It was a super lazy day, and I loved every second of it.  I watched Jumanji, Greatest Game Ever Played (about golf) and Mama Mia

Oh yeah...starting at 21 pushups.

OK, I just finished week 1 day 1 (10 / 12 / 7 / 7 / 14 max) and my arms are shaking like crazy.  I think I just figured out why you're supposed to rest between the initial assessment and getting started

I've done Week 1, Days 1 and 2, but they are pretty weak girlie pushups.  My new plan is to do Week 1 three times and (along with Crossfit) work on getting my pushups solid.  And then I will move on to the other five weeks.  My real goal is to do the 100 pushups by February 28 (the same day as the end of the No Sugar Challenge, the day that I will be at goal weight, the day that ....  Heck, I forget how many goals I have attached to February 28!).

Best of luck reaching all your goals Leah!  Just never forget them and keep plugging along.  Remind yourself that you don't have a day to waste, make the best of each day because 2/28 will be here soon!

Gosh, 40 pushups!  I am so impressed.  Cannot fathom it.  I am hoping for it, but cannot fathom 40 (much less 100).

You'll surprise yourself!

That said, I started after a long hiatus this Monday and I can't fathom do any pushups tonight!  Much less week 3 day 2!

Carla/Leah ~ keep at it and you'll be amazed at yourself.  We all started only being able to do a handful and here we are in week 6 or in Bob's case (Colesdad), doing the 100!

Speaking of which, where ya at Bob?  Isn't it about time we give each other a nice swift kick in the arse??

hundred Push-ups.com now has a iPhone App available to download. not sure if it's worth the $1.99 but its still a pretty cool application for iPhone/iPad users.

When i was about 12 i saw some movie where a guy did 100 pushups, and since that time i always wanted to be able to do 100

Don't know about 6 weeks, i don't remember how long it took me to get to 100 once i really decided that i want to do it, but i did it!

Sounds stupid but it was one of those best feelings of accomplishment!

I didn't follow any program and didn't limit myself to 5-10 minutes a day. Whenever i had free time, at home, at work, i just go behind the cubicle in the office and do as many pushups as i can every time, every day, that's all. And then one morning i woke up and said: "today i'm going to do 100 pushups nonstop"

that's all it takes!

Hi Michelle. I'm around. Doing Week 3 Day 3 tonight. The good news is I kept a lot of my fitness even with the few weeks off. When I did Day 2 I maxed at 65 but probably could've pushed to 80 or so. I am going to swim 1st tonight so it'll be interesting to see if there's any effect.

I have a new goal to do 50 pushups with my daughter on my back. I'm going to try that after getting through (hopefully) the 100 again.

Suit yourself. i thought the goal after achieving the 100 is to do 100 "Clap" push-ups were you push-up hard enough to clap your hands between each one
