Hey we understand.  No worries.  We had to make a decision for the future of our company and you  had to make a decisions for your racing.  That's life.

We are glad you are still interested in the FLO DISC.

Best of luck with you upcoming races.

Thanks for the compliments on our site and blog.  So many hours went into it.  I'm not even a web developer by trade so I had a lot of learning to do.  We are doing our best to keep the blog full of useful content.  We should have our hub portion of our component series live this weekend.

I agree that the wheels will look sweet on your P2C!

Take care,

Hey Chris, I found the weight estimates for the 60/90/Disc, any approximation on the weight of the 60/90 fronts?

Looking forward to seeing the finished product, keep up the good work!

These are the old rough weights.  Keep in mind we are know using a new factory with new rims and fairings.  So things could end up lighter or heavier..

Front FLO 60 - 895 grams
Rear FLO 60 - 1085 grams

Front FLO 90 - 975 grams
Rear FLO 90 - 1165 grams

FLO DISC - 1400 grams

All the best,

First of all thanks for the interest.  Signing up for our newsletter would be the best way for getting in line for our pre-order.  We will be releasing the news there first.  You can sign up on our homepage at http://www.flocycling.com.   Additionally, you can follow us on our social media accounts like facebook or twitter.  We will also be spreading the word there.  You can link to those sites in my signature.

I hope that helps,

Hahaha!  Blame our factory instead  We'll be doing our best to keep you from losing any more races as soon as possible.  Negotiations are going really well with our favorite factory.  I'm hoping we can settle by the end of this month!

You guys have a great attitude. Seriously, it's way better to be rigorous than to respond to half-a$$ed posts like mine a little while ago.

I'm not sure if you heard but our Chinese carbon factory fell through.  They promised us the world up front, took our money, and then didn't come through.  We lost our molds and a ton of money.  We were forced to head to Taiwan to find a new carbon factory.  We are currently finalizing details with our new factory and hope to open new molds within the next few weeks.  You can read about he whole thing here  It's looking like the new year for our wheels.  Sorry we won't be able to help you out in October.

Take care,

Chris

Thanks for the well wishes.  I spent a whole week walking factories to make sure we pick the right one this time.  Of course anything can happen but, the new factory we are dealing with is MUCH better than the last.  Our product will also be much better as a result!

Take care,

Take care,

Sorry to hear about the MFG troubles in China.  They say everything happens for a reason, so hopefully everything works out for the best. I love reading your blog posts as I'm learning a lot about wheels and aerodynamics.  Thanks for learning me!  Here's to a smooth production run and a great set of wheels!

I had heard about the Chinese factory troubles but hadn't heard of any estimates on how long it takes to ramp things up in Taiwan, the 2012 timeline is new info so thanks! You guys sure did get the short end of the stick but hopefully things will turn around with the new factories and we can start seeing Flo wheels in transition for 2012.

You are very welcome.  I agree with you when you say that everything happens for a reason.  Sometimes things don't make sense in the moment but they usually do looking back.  I'm glad you like our blog posts.  It's our intention to educate people about the products they are buying.  That way they can feel comfortable when spending their hard earned dollars.
