The interwebs are too clever sometimes. I am trying to go to the Team GB Olympic store but it redirects me to the Team USA store. Clever. Yes. What most people connecting in the USA probably want. Yes. What I want. No.

Good day for me!

I'm FINALLY off the weight loss plateau.  New low this morning.  I think/hope I got "unstuck".

Boss is gone the whole day and Monday.  So today is going to be a coaster.

Only a swim workout to be done at lunch and then Friday night is mine.

I DO wish I had some poeple to happy hour with, but some gaming sounds nice too.

hot diggity dog.

Congrats!

Good day for me too, I've felt kind of all upside down, but everything's just fine really. I wish I had someone to watch the Opening Ceremonies with but I am sure I'll enjoy them anyway. I've learned to be very content by myself these last couple years.

I find that I slowly, over the days/weeks/months, start to sweat the inconsiquentials...  It builds up untill something snaps and have sheot time/day.  Then I realize once again and dump all that crap and be happy again...  Kind of like an earthquake.

Sadely, the pressure slowly rebuils and it happens again down the road.  It's so subtle, I don't even know it's building untill it breaks.

If that makes sense.

All of the pics of myself are taken in the bathroom mirror and Cord frowns upon that and I hate to make my little, shiny domed, Cordy frown!

it's true. She said it on the internet now it's a fact.

Puh-lease. Her profile pic is better than a bathroom pic. I'm sure she knows how to use the timer on her digital camera, and I'll go even further to suggest that I bet she's taken self portraits that are a bit risque in nature.

edited for proper pronoun, since I quoted Cord and not Teej

Meaning behind this post: He wants you to send him the risque self portraits.

I wasn't gonna ask. I'm sure she gets enough of that from you.

I never have to ask.

Let's say the guys showing off the abs in the mirror shots are no good...

But send me all the topless pics in the mirror shots you girls have, and I'm down wit dat.

I like bewbies.

Ah, back.  Phew, I scared myself for a second.

I am no fancy photographer and really suck at taking people pics .. but there is a difference between a snapshot in the mirror with no thought and a thought out shot framed and showcasing what you want to showcase.

Yep, need to showcase the goods.

For some reason, sport and especially the olympics get me verklempt...

I get choked up at an inspirational sports story faster than some love story for some reason.

Ha ha. I have divided loyalties in sport. But I will wear Team USA when I am in the UK. But will probably wear Team GB when here. Weird I know.

anyone can fall in love.  not just anyone can become the greatest athelete in the world at something.  that's what chokes me up...how much freaking passion these people have is out of this world.

To me, it's more the "overcoming"...  If that makes sense.  Or the strength to stand up for something against the odds.  That moves me more than a tearful breakup or something in the love stories.

I cried when the olypic team beat Russia in the Kurt Russel movie AND I KNEW THE ENDING!  But The Notebook does nothing for me.

I cry when the national anthem plays before sport events. Doesn't matter whose anthem or which event.

And I'm watching Yentl on TV. It's all over.
