My weight loss seems to have stalled! I hit 236.6 last Wednesday but have been hovering around 238 all weekend and even this morning! Ugh

Any way got up this morning went for a quick swim 600 m and headed to work!

Having weight loss stall is normal. Keep at it!

"Weight loss Plateau" bro and if its me the only thing i can go higher in weightloss is either increase the duration or intensity of workout were you lose most weight in my case its swimming then running. Standard Math in weight loss is 3500 Cals per 1 Lb.

Looks nice Tay. Easy to use and portable. Tonight I paid more attention to what everyone in the class was using for their trainers and there were many different kinds. Quite a few looked like yours and lots of CyclOps and KurtK's.

The session tonight was pretty hard. I'm really going to sleep well tonight.

Don't worry too much about your weight. Just focus on good workouts and eating well and the weight will come off. My weight bounces up and down until I get into the long cycling rides and longer runs then it falls off - at least that's what happened last year for me.

Thanks everyone, not to worried about it

I have been tracking my measurements too, the tape never lies! So I know I am makeing improvements and feeling great.

My work had a silent auction thing and they had size 36 men's lululemon yoga pants, which I snatched up for a steal. As a bit of reward for going the entire month pretty strong on my training and nutrition. And they almost fit. (well lets be honest i could do them up but it wasnt very comfortable)

Also my brother is really into boxing and they had a heavy/speed bag set up I picked up for him for $175 (they are regularly around $300-400)
and when he was picking it up he said I was looking slimer. So I know its coming just going to focus on what I need to do to make it work!

Also I think i will see a downward number on the scale in the morning. (So it may have been the salt I was so craving on Friday that made me hold onto those couple of pounds lol)

On a more serious note you folks taking any multi vitamins? I was looking over my food log break downs and it looks like I am chronicly low on my Iron and Potassium everything else is looking pretty good. My cholestrol intake is a little high might start replaceing a few eggs with eggwhites.
And my Sugar and Dietary fiber is high too but Its from fruit and broccoli mostly so not to worried.

Kyle - I take lots of vitamins mainly to help with diabetes and antioxidants. I know that recently it was reported that vitamins are a waste of money but I believe you should know who is paying for the research before you believe anything you hear. So far I believe they have been good for me.

Anyways - I'd be careful of supplementing with iron as it can really bind your intestines even if you are consuming lots of fibre. Are you eating good quality red meats (lean ground-beef, flank steak)? They should provide you with most of your iron needs. As for potassium, in nature any fruit or veggie, is higher in potassium and should provide you with all you need.

Woke up with a horrible head cold It's just one thing after another...
Still managed 3 miles on the treadmill and will try the trainer, even if just for 30min, tonight.

Hey all... Thanks for the advise on the trainers!!! .... I live in Phoenix.. so I'm thinking inside training mostly in the summer...except swimming.... we'll see when we get there... Also I like listening to music when I work out.... and not super keen on riding with headphones...

I just got the waterproof nano and I dig it.... it is a little work to get the earbuds right as I seem to have the worlds smallest ears but I really am enjoying the tunes while I swim)

Yeah, definitely do not ride with headphones.  I have an ipod touch which has its own speakers like an iphone, and I keep that in my bento box playing music while I ride.  I do the same while I run.  That way I still get music but I don't have headphones and I can hear what's going on around me.

Good for you, way to stay motivated!  The old saying goes "Below the head, stay in bed, above the neck, what the heck!" But I'll admit I have a hard time getting motivated to get out there even with just head stuff.

Hey mike, you run more miles than anyone that I know. I was wondering if you could grace me with some of your wisdom. During higher mileage weeks did you ever develop a pain in your groin/adductor/hip flexor region? If so how did you overcome it and how long did it take for you to get back to running without pain? Thanks!

I actually haven't had pain there yet. I've always wanted to do this set of exercises to strengthen those areas but never make the time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GLrKr54yA0

Does it hurt if you run easy? I would definitely lay off the speed work for a while and see if you can do some low speed running.

I went to the pool today and had a decent swim then changed and went off to coffee and after came home and realized I had forgotten my goggles and a water bottle at the pool (didn't care about the water bottle). At my wife's insistence I went back to the pool and checked the lost and found, nothing there so I went back into the change room and 2.5hrs after I left they were exactly where I left them.

I felt like I won a mini lottery. If I hadn't found them it would've cost me $25 to $30. This pair are "Zoggs" and I got them free at Challenge Pent. last year. They actually seem really good so now I have to find a source for them for this year. So then I had to tell my wife she was right...yet again!

Glad you said it Joe. I couldn't quite remember how it went. I went back to the pool once too soon and it went into my lungs and knocked me out for 4 weeks and for a couple weeks after that I was still coughing with my face in the water.

Well folks its that time of night! Time for sleep

Did an hour of yoga and swam for about 22 mins today 650 m

Talked to the masters group at my local pool about joining up boy can those folks swim! Man could I learn a thing or two!

Only thing is they swim a lot longer then i normally do so the first few classes I might be doing a lot of wall holding lol

Compiled my race schedule this year. I'm going from laying on the couch all year to my couch collecting dust.

It hurts even on easy days now so it looks like I will be sidelined from my favorite of the three disciplines. But that means more time in the pool and on the bike so it's not a bad deal. Those exercises do a good job at targeting exactly where it hurts. Thanks for the great video, looks like I have some rehabbing scheduled for today.

So I bought roof racks for my car today!

I called Ford it was $600 dollars, which is crazy right!

So I called a couple of other places, and I got a set up for $400

Next will be the bike rack boom!

That's a bummer. Hope you can get back running soon.

The swim is ALWAYS a cause for concern when it comes to competing in a triathlon. This is the event for which you need to concentrate on RELAXING.
