Got back from the wine and chocolate tasting.  It was pretty cool.  There were a few giant chocolate fountains, tons of fruit, and local wineries.  Couple of really good wines that I'd like to buy.  Normally I don't find that.

Morning Nibbs!

wow, i'm the first one - that NEVER happens - LOL

Now that you are on the east coast, it may happen more frequently, but Sal is often the first and he's not on east coast time. He just usually gets up at ungodly hours.

You called?

Hey Sal!

Hey Beth!  How's the new job?

Got to step away...my son's handling the Eagle project, just as I hoped he would...he organized getting the other scouts here to help him with his project...just like it SHOULD be...

No.  That would have been kind of funny to see someone fall in the fountain.

Unfortunately not much for me. Doc says bronchitis, so no run/walk/bike/swim for me. BUMMER!

What is the Eagle scout project? I've been involved with some over the years.

Bummer about the bronchitis.   That's why I never go to the doctor...that way I don't feel guilty about running through what I don't know that I don't have......kidding...well, sorta...

A local corporation donated a hundred (outdated...to them) computers...he's installing operating systems (multiple license) on them and 're-donating' them to charter schools and Community Action.  He's got 2 scout leaders and about 8 scouts over tonight helping with the OS intalls.

Former scout leader?

Yup, cub scouts as a den leader, then pack leader or committee chair, then on to boy scouts where I was a committee leader (no camping for me, I like my mattress and hot showers too much). Hubby took over as a scout leader and did the camping. So, yeah I sat through a bunch of eagle project sessions.

Sounds like a great project he has going with the computers.

Heh...I was a scoutmaster down in Mankato for a year.  We took those boys out camping in the winter in 10 degree weather.  Wouldn't let them go unless they brought the right gear...

Yeah, now I can just volunteer to come out camping for a night or 2, or leave after the campfire program and head to the local Comfort Inn...hee, hee...

Scouting is fun though. I do miss those days (sometimes), but I sure enjoy my life now too! Frank likes to say that my idea of roughing it is a Holiday Inn.

I get to vote next week (Virginia's an open primary) and I really don't know who to vote for.  I thought the candidates would have been decided by now, so I hadn't been thinking about it so much.  Now I have to figure it out.
