I have an 8 miler and a 5 miler still to do this week. I was supposed to run yesterday, but was stuck at home with a sick kid. Hopefully I'll be able to get one of the runs in today and the other Friday, but I will run Thursday/Friday if I have to. Once those runs are done, I will be at 100%

Headed out for a run on the beach in the warm sunshine this morning and ran 10 miles @ GA Pace. This puts me over my goal for the month and everything from here on is gravy for the team:

Run: 258/250 - 103%

Team: 85.89%

With: 5/16 folks having already reached their goals. (3 Days Left in the challenge)

Just got back from the doctor.  I have an upper respiratory infection, but the doc gave me some kick-butt antibiotics, so I should be better soon, but unfortunately not in enough time to get my last 8 miles in.  I asked him if I could still train this week...he just laughed...

Well, I stand at 88% of goal.  Is it best that I drop out, or do we have enough team overage to cover?

My feeling is that we are all a team Sal, and would rather see you finish with the team even if it is less than what you had hoped. You put in a great month of training and would hate to see you drop from the team so close to the finish. (Regardless of your final % Complete)

In the end, it is all about the motivation that comes from being on a team that makes all of this so much fun. We start as a group, hang together as a group, and finish as a group.

Whatever happens with the final standings is not nearly as important to me. FWIW: I think there are quite a few folks who will be logging a 110% so we will have a good chance of hitting 100% overall as a team.

I am not the team Captain and have no official say in how your illness get's treated. This is just my opinion

X2

The value of these challenges is not winning or losing, it is pushing each other to succeed in our training goals.  Sometimes life throws us a curve ball that is outside of our control.  Here's hoping your bug clears up quickly and you get back on track for March!!!

Appreciate the comments Tim and Ken...lots of awesome examples of leadership, teamwork and discipline on this team...

Rock on team...just a gentle reminder to think twice before running sick...the doc just shook his head when I told him I ran 13 miles SICK last Saturday in 2 degree weather......sometimes it's best to take a break and let the body take care of recovery...

My thoughts are the same as the team. I did forward this to Dee for a review. I know with some of the folks sick lately (Got to love this years viral season) they have adjusted a few goals. Will see what she comes back with.. If not, then I will tune up my miles to cover you!

Hey guys, unfortunately I'm in the sick crowd as well.  Starting to feel a little better, but I'm also sitting at about 82%.  We still have two days left, so assuming I'm on an upward trend health-wise, I should be able to get at least a little something in, each of the next two days.

I was looking forward to fill in near 110%, now it looks like I'll be very luck to hit 100...sorry guys =/

Got my 8 in and am now at 91% with only 5 miles left to go. If I can eek out another mile or two, I will try, but I can't promise it. Team is at 88.18%

Sorry to hear about all the illness! There is so much going around right now.

An Extra run today to help the team -- I'm now at 38.15/35 miles or 109%  Felt great -- did my own "personal" triathlon today (aka double brick)  Was great fun.

Team now at 88.67.  Still a way short, but with all the sickness I'm amazed how well our team is doing.  Keep it up everyone, and to all the sick ones out there -- GET BETTER!!!

Headed out into the fog this morning and did 12 miles at the beach.  I did tomorrow's workout today and so was 12 instead of the planned 10. (I will do the 10 tomorrow)

Now at:

270/250 - 108%

Team: 88.97%

We have 5 folks well over 100% of goal, and at least another 5 within striking distance of achieving their goal before the end of the month.

Great job everyone. Has been great fun hanging out with team Pfreaky Pfft

I have a run planned today (4miles) that will bring me to 100% of my goal.  I will try to get a run in tomorrow of 6 miles to get me to 110% if my shins cooperate.

Good luck to everyone in closing out their goals.

Also, just want to give a great big THANK YOU to everyone who's putting in extra miles for the team this month!!
