That must be pretty awesome to live near the mountains like that.  In contrast, I ran today through "The Great Swamp" - beautiful place, but flat as flat can be.  Just have some hills to get over to get into the swamp.

I really need to get to the Olympic National Park-The Hoh rainforest is suppose to be absolutely amazing.  I need more than one day to make that trip.

And then there is Mt St Helens-It blew in 1980.  The ecosystem has been rebuilding itself since then.  It is a real eye opener-You can see how the area was completely decimated, yet wildlife is slowly reclaiming the land.

The rain is overstated-although it can be a bit dreary in the winter.

When they talk about 91 days of consecutive rain it is often drizzle in the middle of the night.

Fall is amazing.   Summer can be too hot for me, but I don't like it over seventy.  There are typically only a handful of days over 90 and weeks that are in the high seventies and low eighties.

It is so green here.  there is not a ton of pollution and we are in the top 5 for most bicycle friendly.

Oh...do not ever come to the Southeast in the summer.  You might turn into a puddle on the sidewalk.

The best I have managed is a couple of scarves

knit-knit-knit-knit

maybe an occasional purl thrown in for good measure.

I have yet to knit a scarf.  I get bored way before they are done.

I lucked out when I went to Sacramento this summer.  It had been over 100 degrees and the city was all hazy from all the wildfire smoke, but it was 90ish when I got there and by the end of the week it was in the low 80's.
