I have kind of a light day at work but will be in meetings most of the afternoon. I am going to spend this morning catching up on some technical reading that always gets put on the back burner. |

I saw you got a bike in this morning. Nice. I have kind of a light day at work but will be in meetings most of the afternoon. I am going to spend this morning catching up on some technical reading that always gets put on the back burner. The bike was yesterday. So far today I've crawled out of bed and made it to work. Today I have a 30 minute tempo run planned. Which will probably be a 3ish mile from point A to point B. I got new drops from my ears, but I'm probably out of the pool until the weekend, so maybe some Yoga and or Pilates when I get home. I also have this intense urge to beat the h3ll out of my punching bag for some reason, so there will probably be that as well. |

Looked at the snow and crawled back in for a bit. Will run tonight. Sorry about the ears bothering you. I started dropping a bit of rubbing alcohol in mine after every swim. It seems to help dry them out. |

It seems to help dry them out. I got a bottle of the swimmer's ear drops. Right now I have an ear infection in one ear and I think swimmer's ear in the other. My doc gave me a prescription for drops that contain an antibiotic and a steroid, she told me to use them all the time since every time I'm in there I either have an ear infection or swimmer's ear. We had about 3" of snow at my house. I drove the big a$$ truck to work today since the roads I take are curvy and hilly. I did use 4wd a bit. It looks like they're calling for more snow this weekend but I don't know how much. I was hoping to be in the pool by Saturday. |

WOO! and btw, im gonna look SMOKIN' doin it all. sometimes its just nice to ditch the tri gear, put on makeup, do your hair and get dressed up i found this uber cool, 'floaty' vest thingy at American Eagle of all places (perfect size, perfect shade) that goes over my form fitting shirt, just to 'soften' things up a bit all the while remaining 'edgy' i think i just might be finding myself. stacieb stacieb Sounds great! Elite 4201 washington state | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are taking off the pounds in February!!! ironannekidd - 2010-02-03 5:24 AM I've made an executive decision... I am no longer setting my alarm for 3:50. If I am wide awake I'll get up and do Yoga, but if I am sleeping, I will get up at 4:15 like normal. I'm not a great sleeper so I don't feel the need to remove 25 minutes of sleep for something I can do in the afternoon or evening. Now that sounds like a good plan! |

Here the rain is back It's tough after such a beautiful day yesterday. But at least I don't mind running in the rain. |

Just name some names, a few at a time, maybe skip around different genres. Silly girl. givemashot - 2010-02-02 3:51 PM ironannekidd - 2010-02-02 3:57 AMI will get together a list of the music I have tonight. I got side tracked this weekend with the kiddos and typing papers for the fourth grade. I have a second grade son, too. I can relate to the need for translation. The new problem at our house: he thinks he can write in cursive, if he just practices. Around here, they don't teach cursive until 3rd grade. Every year in the elementary school the kids write stories then the school prints them out and binds them into books for the kids. Because of my job I don't really get to go into the school much to volunteer but I can type. So I volunteered to type up the stories the kids have written. It took longer than I thought, mainly because of they way the pages are formatted, and also because it is REALLY hard to read some of the kids handwriting. I'm done for now. I'll be working on second grade papers soon. I can't wait to try and read that handwriting. One of the worst ones I saw though was from my own son. I had to have him translate several words for me. Guess what I've been having him work on this week.... yeah, he's been practicing his handwriting. I think they start it here in second grade. The stories I typed were printed but there were lots of misspellings and punctuation errors, plus sometimes they just didn't make sense. I was given liberty to help them along anyway I saw fit. As someone who used to write short stories I did just that. I worked on the music list but didn't get it completed. 200 CD's plus 1300 songs in iTunes takes longer than one expects. I'm still working on it though. |

Bill, I just can't imagine biking in snow! Is it packed so that you stay on top of it or do you kind of plow thru? Dee - most of it was hardpacked or icy but there was some loose snow areas and that is just brutal. You really cannot stand up because you need your weight on the rear wheel for traction so it is a pretty good workout all the way around. It is my hope that it helps come spring with real riding and it is also practice for this race which I hope to do someday: http://www.arrowheadultra.com/ Holy Frost Bite Bill!!! That sound downright crazy. Totally self-supported for 3 days in MN in Feb????? I think one of my toes just fell off from reading about it. |

My goal would be to finish obviously but in 28-30 hours with some sleep time in there! OUTSIDE??? I'm feeling another toe about to fall off. |

You have to have a bag/tent/pad in case you do sleep outside but there is some quarters at the checkpoints from what I have gathered! But I would probably do it outside just to keep in the spirit of the race. When we were younger I had a friend that moved to Leadville, CO and we slept outside one night during Christmas break - the elevation of Leadville is above 11,000ft so it was mighty cold! You are a brave man Mr. Graves. |
