I think we need to kidnap Kim, Neal, and Tom, so they can spend some time in THE VILLAGE during the day.

At the party last night we shared the table with a co-worker of my husbands who has kids the same ages as mine. He used to be a runner, he has switched to tri's recently because his knees won't let him run the long distances.

We were talking about the Gettysburg marathon and he told me he drove the course, and was talking to others and the course is REALLY hilly. He said it is just up and down hills almost the entire way. I want to get out and drive it soon. I haven't registered yet. I should start training in January for it if I'm going to run it, but I'm not cleared for any cardio yet so I'm behind schedule already.

Maybe I'll volunteer this year and see how it goes before running it. I'd still like to find something in May or early June to run.

I vote for Volunteer. There are tons of venues in the summer you can choose from. No reason to put yourself behind the 8
ball from the get go.

When do you hear from the docs?

I am out of here. I will be back. If you can't round up K and T and N, call me. I'll drive by and get Neal, You get Kim. For times sake, we'll send Melindy after Tom. (She would like the weather).

I have the EKG and get the holter monitor on Thursday. Hopefully I'll be cleared next week.

Drive safe.

ceilidh - 2010-12-07 6:45 AM Morning Ghoulies.

It is cold here, too. 22 and High winds. the roads are icy and I have to drive to a staff meeting this morning. YUCK. The roads here don't really get snow on them, we get lots of black ice instead. fun and games.

Cold here too.  25 degrees.  I've got a cold so I'm staying home today.  No sense in getting all of my staff sick.  Aren't I a nice boss?

Yes you are. Put the Christmas lights on, get some hot beverage and snooze on the couch enjoying all the decorations.

FWIW,  I hear you on the soothing of the spirit of the decorations after they are all up. I love taking the puppy out after dark and looking at the house. The lit tree makes me feel like a kid.

Great advice.  I think I'll follow it today.  Only got about 2 hours of sleep last night, so if i'm lucky I can sneak a nap in.

Only getting 2 hours of sleep will not help you get over a cold any faster.

I agree with Robin and you on the volunteer idea.  No need to start off needing to play catch up, especially just coming off of such a tough time.

Ok I'm going to go get Kim. Then she can help me kidnap Neal. After that we'll head southwest and get Tom. I'm thinking we'll stay there in the warm for a bit before heading east. We need our VILLAGERS back!

disturbed275 - 2010-12-06 6:53 PM Pretty uneventful day for me here.  I worked, I rode my bike, I foam rolled my shin splints, I cried

Awww! I don't think I've ever made myself cry with a foam roller...pretty tough there Neal! Physio has made me cry releasing my gluts before.

So my doctors office just called. I am a mutant. I hope I am like Storm and can control the weather because my kids REALLY want snow for Christmas.

They told me I have hemochromatosis. She said it won't be a problem unless my iron is high. I told her that my iron WAS high on the blood test they just did. She said she'd talk to the doctor and get back to me. Thanks.

Did we talk about that before? I don't remember it. I know I had blood tests done awhile back, but nothing ever came from them, and I didn't have the gene study before that I knew of. I was just reading about it, and it may explain the problems I've been having with my heart.
