Hey Yanti, it will be 38 years of marriage this month plus 6 years of dating.  Amazing that she can stand it.

Aww. My parents 39-year anniversary was a few days ago. My heroes

My grandparents were over 60 year before they passed over the last couple years..  And I have the exact same anniversary as them (we didn't know that at the time, just luck that we picked the same day).  I think they thought we picked it to honor them and we were like "um, yeah, that's it".

We were really happy it was the same day as theirs and take it as an omen for something that lasts just as long for us!  But can't say it was intentional.

Happy Monday.  For the first time in more than a year, we spent Friday night through Monday morning at the lake.  It was fun.  My sister was visiting with my Mother so I got a weekend off.  I will go see Mother on Tuesday.

I got trapped in the boat house during a thunderstorm, yesterday.  There was lightning and thunder all around me, then wind and monsoon rainfall rates.    The boat house is really just a roof on a floating dock without sides.  I got the full benefit of Mother Nature's power.  It was impressive.

Back at the grind.  Gee whiz, I wish they would let me retire. I would live at the lake full time in the summer and in Atlanta in the winter.

TW

PS  I got nothing to compete with Lisa and the Wichita dating scene.

I'd say a stellar gazillion years with JWKMH and a few dozen of the best years in history ever with your amazing female spawn is pretty good.

{{{MELON SQUEEZE}}} for my T-Geeze!

Russians?

Why not?

Even though they were pretty young ... I guess we all are, relatively, we told hilarious stories about growing up and the awful stories we heard about those robot red Commies and the ones they heard about those bacchanalian superstitious Americans.

Only a few folks spoke both Russian and English and all of us were talking and laughing and yelling at once and understood each other anyway.

Oh yeah, Bali is THE vacation spot for Russians. It's a much better and cheaper holiday for them than to go within Russia or Europe, and depending where they are, not that much of a further flight.

Also, for some weird reason, surfing has gotten huge there, except the surf there isn't so great, so they come here.

I guess I did not know Russians went to Bali on vacation.  I can see why they would want to but I would be booking the vacay for January or February.

Congratulations to them!  All our high school friends are still married to each other.  Sort of sappy but true.

I want to say "We get it, you do this/that".  If what they did was even remotely talented or interesting, I may take notice.  I like a good photo thread...

I guess I don't like attention a lot of times, so thread after thread of the lastest paper airplane I made to show off?  meh..(as an example)

That is cool.  I have no idea when my or JWKMH's grandparents' anniversaries were.  I may look at the family Bibles and see if we happened to hit one of them.  With a total of 4 anniversaries to choose from, the odds are  1 in 23 that one's a match.  Would you put a bet down for me?

I was in an auto parts store and a women came in and was talking to the guy behind the counter. She mentioned "my husband is a fighter pilot" and he is a "LCDR" no less than 12 times. She was very impressed with her husband and anyone that was listening was going to hear it.
